Chickvic
Is that a little known fact or something they made up? Just to keep it going of course.
Bassett
It will be really interesting to see how Matt Smith gets on as the New Dr Who - he definately has the right quirky look. On The News today they were saying that several very famous actors turned down the part, as David Tennant did such a fantastic job as the Doctor, that whoever takes over is destined to be disappointing in comparison. Mutrix Farmers
WHO IS MATT SMITH? Sorry to shout (capitals) but I haven't got a clue who he is.
Cinnamon
Look him up on the IMDB
Helly Welly
Well, i think i like Matt Smith. He was really good in The Ruby in the Smoke and he has a certain quirkiness about him. There's nothing wrong with him being young, just because he's 900 years old, after all, who would regenerate themselves as someone who looked 900!! I think a bigger concern is who's going to be his companion.
The Dogmother
Never heard of him... but then I don't really watch TV and haven't seen Dr Who since I was about 10. Looks a bit young though.
redhotchick
He's too young for my tastes! Perhaps he will grow on me. I hope so. I love Saturday night with Dr Who
MedusA
Matt Smith is a good actor but too young for me to fancy. Sadly, "Ooops, word censored!"ody could be right in my eyes. Having watched every single episode of Dr Who since the first William Hartnell one, David Tennant has been the only one who lit my fire. I will grieve when the time comes for his regeneration. chickencam
I feel that he is quirky enough in both looks and character but I will have to leave the drooling to my ED, it would feel wrong at my age
bluekarin
After an initial who on earth is he and he can't possibly be better than David, I have warmd to the idea of Matt Smith being the next doctor. He has a bit of a cheeky twinkle in his eye and a certain amount of quirkiness with his finger twitching. But it will be bitter sweetness when DT regenerates
Ange1
I agree with folk that DT is simply the best, but I didn't love him straight away, took a few episodes. Matt is from my home town, went to local drama school, that's another famous Northampton person who's 'made it'! Alan Carr is the other one, I knew him and was in a couple of plays with him in Northampton!! My family always ask, aren't you sad thinking 'that could have been me'? The look on their faces are as if they don't believe me when I say 'No, not really'!
