atsw
Yep, you did it right You can always post a link to the original photo if people want to see the full size version. Well done for getting all six in the same shot . Certainly looks like they are all having fun in the winter sunshine. Andrew

Plum
Ahh bless and you have some grass still. When I first looked at it I thought it was a chicken holding the branch up. Lucky Andrew put the link to the full size one.
Chickvic
They certainly look like they're enjoying their freedom.
FruitandNutCake
Ahh Bless. Have you started knitting them wooly jumpers yet? Unfortunately I lost 2 of my ex-batts - but my baldest one has fluffed up nicely in time for winter (she was oven ready when I got her!). Good to see them enjoying their freedom. laurmurf
What a fabulous set-up, well done! What happy girls soaking up the winter sunshine, makes me want to just stand and watch mine all day when they half doze in the sun and it must be even more special for you and your ex-batt girls! Happy chickens!
Do chickens like see-saws then? They've not tried the slide yet! In fact, althought there's a dust bath, branches to climb, a pecking block and a solarium (alright, a couple of old windows that make a wind free corner), they're not bothered about anything but enjoying the space - and they do. I love it when they run along flapping their wings, scratching at the earth (OH horrified by some of the lawn picutres on another thread, think you should rate them as not suitable for viewing by the 'lawn keeper'!) or the surprise of finding a worm, but best of all spending time with them and seeing them developping from the timid girls they were first of all to proper chickens. (Oh, and the eggs aren't bad either!!)

dancing cloud
Aaww! What little sweeties! I've never managed to get all six of mine in one photo yet. Amazing how fast they stop being timid little feather-bares and become demanding fluffy little madams isn't it? And don't we just love our demanding little ex-batt madams
