All my layers pellets are loose in a metal dustbin and I just added the power direct to bin and gave it a really good mix. The girls then get it everyday without any fuss.

I put a large teaspoon enough good to fill 2 grubs!

I keep my food in a large bin and each week mix up some pellets, garlic powder and Bokashi in a tub which lasts the week. If I forget I add a level teaspoon of the powder to the grub when I fill it

Be careful not to spill any as I find if it gets damp it turns into a smelly sticky goo - yuck . I just mix some into my layers mash/pellets about a teaspoon full for each grub.

I put mine in when I make a pellet porridge for them.

Don't open it on a windy day either. I just put a spoonful in the grub when I refill it.

I also give them a spoonful with their porridge, along with some bokashi, sometimes poultry spice, all mixed together with marmite.

Just pellets and hot water. I normally have a cuppa about three so I make my tea and once I have drunk it I use the water from the previously boiled kettle to make the porridge.

 

I keep a stash of pellets in a tub in the kitchen ( don`t tell OH!!!) and have two large dog bowls under the sink ( don`t tell OH) that I make it in!

 

I also add whatever peelings/leftover veg I have. Sometimes some raisons or grapes. good way to get some grit into them too!

I fill my feeder using a bucket and add the garlic powder at that stage.
