Blackrocksrock
I made the favours for my daughters wedding ( along with a 3 tier cake!!)but thats another story, and bought white sugared almonds and made the favours in net bags which I bought as circles and tied them up with firstly elastic band and then topped with tartan ribbon with 5 almonds inside in the same tartan as the groom was wearing - I also tied the ribbon round the edges of the cake on the board. The kiddies got small teddies and the men got nothing!!. Although I say so myself - they were lovely.

TAJ
For the edible bit how about peppermint creams? - colour the fondant to match wedding colour theme & some can be chocolate (or half) dipped. Mints go well after dinner - with a small cookie cutter they can be any shapes (hearts?). Plus they are dead easy to make by the 100 - I use make bags full for the school Christmas fete.
