BERTIE MCSQUIRTY
my puppy bit a hole in the omlet netting and chased the chickens around the garden, one flew over the garden wall and i haven't seen it since. been everywhere looking this afternoon - even had tons of the school children looking for me and we cant find it. the neighbours have all been informed. its obviously dark now and she hasn't returned - just hoping that she is perched up a tree! so on the offchance that someone in leicestershire finds a warren chicken.....can you pm me, as i am now really worried about her. ****Edit: NOW FOUND couldn't settle so went out again and found her in our garage roosting on the old cot, only went into the garage to get a powerful torch - glad i did tho' as now i can rest tonight. Gamebird
What a worry for you. Hopefully she will have some chicken sense and go up high to roost for the night. Fingers crossed that another search tomorrow will find her in good health.

BERTIE MCSQUIRTY
just got back in from scouring the road up and down using a torch - been over every tree and still cant find her, my only worry is the canal opposite mine, but i don't believe she went that way as when i saw her last she was making her way in the opposite direction. she's only a pol chicken (i have had her just over a week). i let her and her sister out today to free range with the others whilst i was outside cleaning the patio. i went into the kitchen to change my wet jeans to see the commotion in the garden with the dog and saw her fly over the wall. if i had half a minute more, i would have had my jeans on. abwsco
Hope she turns up safe and well. If it helps, one of ours spent 2 nights outside in November(parent and inlaws looking after them as we were away ) then another night I was a bit late going out and she'd done it again That time though she wandered onto the neighbours patio and he heard her clucking in the dark. I'd been all over both gardens with torches and not found her.

mccroft
I really hope she turns up You must be sick with worry, my friends hen went missing and she was up all night trying to see out the bedroom window. Her OH went downstairsd to make a cup of tea and it was sat on top of the run. Of course he rushed out then half way up the garden realised he didn't have anything on but still went and put her safely inside.
