Guest
Seems to have me shouting at the telly every time I see her. I just yell "WHAT is she wearing???"" I thought the gold brocade thing was a one off but I saw her on the news tonight in what I could only describe as a very unflattering wedding dress.. The PR guys have done such a good job on him, why aren't they sorting her out??
Guest
maybe she doesn't want to be sorted out To be honest, I'm not following all the public hysteria regarding the new president but if Mrs Obama is her own woman, good for her.
Guest
I'm not following it at all - it just appeared on the news!
Cinnamon
I liked the gold outfit - it was warm, classic & understated....perfect The colour looked wonderful with her skin & lit her face up, imho. I like her, & think shes her own woman, a good mum & a beauty.
Guest
I like her too and admire her as a woman. She is beautiful and has a lovely figure but seeminly a knack for making herself look lumpy and frumpy! Just seen another flash of her again in an unflattering frock though. Charlottechicken
I also liked the gold brocade outfit, I thought it was very regal looking, and as she is now the First Lady, I thought it quite appropriate! I loved the matching gloves too
susanbb
I think she is a very stunning lady and would be able to carry anything off. I also liked the golden outfit.
Chicken Licken
I thought she looked good too - warm against the icy Washington weather - Sure I could not look nearly as glamorous!!!
bronze
I don't really care what she wears. doesn't make a difference to his policys does it?
The Dogmother
I thought that she looked fantastic in all the outfits - dignified and understated, just the right touch. She is a beautiful woman and a very talented lawyer too from what I hear; good for her.
Tessa the Duchess
I don't really pay much attention to what people are wearing tbh. I just kept thinking how cold she must be, and wished she had worn some boots to the Inaugaration. I saw the white ballgown and actually thought it was rather boring considering she could have probably chosen any designer outfit she liked. I do like her though, she looks a mixture of brains and fun. Tessa
Egluntyne
I think she is elegant and sophisticated....and for a tall woman she has the tiniest feet. However what she wears has as much relevance to world affairs as did Cherie Blair's outfits......None whatsoever. It will sell magazines though. Guest
I look at what she's wearing because he is so boring and predictable, walk, smile, nod slightly. I'm looking to her to add some colour to this! I never once noticed what Cherie Blair was wearing - you could never see past her mouth! buffie
Perhaps she just wants to let the focus be on her husband and the job in hand:wink: She's caught between a rock and hard place really. She's certainly a great woman for the job of first lady, from what I've heard. Buffie x
Cinnamon
I think it IS important, what she wears & the way she comes across. They are a package,Barack & Michelle & even the children, & she is an ambassador for her country, so her clothes, appearance & demeanor are important to us all. Of course some of us have more interest in clothes & fashion, just as some of us have more interest in cars than others, but there is no denying that she will be under scrutiny & with good reason. Seagazer
I thought she looked great at the inauguration. Very elegant. I liked the colour too and thought it suited her. I thought the daugthers looked so sweet. I just wouldn't like to be famous at all.
