Snow Chickens

Recommended Posts

Hey Nuggywoo, I've got a "Bob" who's four months as well! Looks about the same in development, mine is a Rhode Island Red, not crowing yet but then he's got at least one, maybe two dominant boys above him :roll: What are you going to do with your BOb? Can you keep him? Boys are SUCH stunners, I can't keep them sadly, my Bob is going to be my Easter dinner!

Good idea. I've just done that. Is there a copyright? Thanks :D

Should've thought of that! :roll::D

Can someone make the picture smaller as you can't see the full beauty of Bob!

Beckyboo - yes I'm keeping Bob, I got him as I wanted a cockerel.

Thanks all for the replies. Oh and it's also my desktop wallpaper :dance:

Fantastic picture.

Nothing, whatsoever, will persuade my girls to even set foot in all the snow we had last night. Usually Fifi will venture out in most weather, the 1" we had on Monday didn't deter her, but the 4" to 5" that landed last night seems to be more than she's prepared to try, even treats won't temp her out!

I am so pleased with my three girls. In spite of the snow here in Upper Cam in Gloucestershire I am still getting an egg from each of my lovely girls. They were late in starting to lay, not until July but they are just soldiering on and on in this freezing weather.

I think they deserve a special treat. !eggbrown!!eggbrown!!eggbrown!

Hope everybody is as lucky as me my hens usually go off lay in October and come back into lay on Christmas Eve but these new ones from Eglu just haven't stopped.

Great pictures!

My lot wouldn't come out - it was 6 or so inches deep though. Here is a picture of their run and "shower curtain snow baffle" you can just make out them through the bottom of the curtain - no doubt wondering what I'm doing and where are their mealworms!

By Sunday mine eventually decided the snow wasn't so bad after all and came out to play in the Sunshine. Mind you, Fifi and Di still spent a fair amount of time finding small patches of 'snow free' ground to stand on.
