Falkor
Anyone else brought a Wii, played it for a few weeks and now just dust it every so often? I spent a fair bit of money on my Wii, Wii fit, extra controller etc and now am kicking myself for it! I spose I could blame the chickens as they are much more entertaining and spend ages watching them out of the patio doors! Anyone know the trade in price on a Wii and Wii fit? kitbag
Sorry, i cant help with the trade in price, but i do know how you feel about getting bored with the Wii. We don't use ours much now, although we have started using it more since we got the Wii Fit for christmas! We thought we would get much more use out of it, but it never seems as fun without a big group of people there.
Ardene5
Hi The best suggestion we can make is look on E-bay then average the selling prices out to get a feel of what it could be worth. Hope this helps. Best regards Ian & Valerie
redfrock
Andy recently traded in his old Xbox 360 (aka the marriage wrecker) for a new improved version (something to do with the connection he needed for the TV) and got a really good price for it all at HMV - better than on Ebay. Might be worth a try. Game also do trade ins Edited February 13, 2009 by Guest
Cate in NZ
Oh, I'd been thinking of getting one. I'm not into computer games at all generally (I'd rather just warble away on a forum ) but Seb's XBox just died, and he's getting withdrawal symptoms poor lad. I'd thought that maybe a Wii would entertain the whole family a bit more, I'm quite attracted to the idea of Wii fit , instead of just Seb sitting there with a controller shooting or chasing or doing whatever he does to all these noisy animated thingies on the screen. But it's a huge amount of money (I can't afford one just yet, that's for sure) and I really don't want to buy one if it's just going to become another expensive dust collector . moochoo
I love mine, we've had it about 18 months. It gets played at least once a week for regular games, the wii fit is out at least every other day. I find the wii is a better console for group games as opposed to single player. Ideal for parties and get togethers. We've also got a PS3. Both OH and I are serious gamers so love the fact we can play online with friends and get really competitive. Game and Gamestation offer good competitive trade ins. If you have a Game card you even earn points for it by trading in with them.
Karen & co.
We have one, my eldest son is even hoping to use the wii fit to help with his physio after breaking his leg Karen x
Chookiehen
We put our on eBay before Christmas, as it wasn't getting played with, and we sold it on a 'Buy It Now' for £275 + postage (£25 I think it cost to post). It sold within a couple of days. We sold the full package - Wii console, Wii balance board, Wii fit game, Wii sports game, 3 controllers and a recharging stand for them. If you do put it on eBay - don't get sucked in to accepting a lower offer - we had about 50 emails from people offering us less than the BIN price in the first day alone, but we had been watching to see how much used Wiis were selling for on eBay and knew that it was a more than fair price. poachedegg
Ours gets used quite a lot - more so since we got Wii Fit. We find it a great leveller, with having children 17, 15 & 7, everybody can join in, which isn't always possible with other games.
Ardene5
Hi Our son William says trade it in to Blockbusters and get something else. Then with his next breaths says or we will have it Have you asked around any store to see if you could trade it in and enquired how much they would give? You could ask at where you purchased it. Hope this helps Best regards Ian & Valerie
chooklady
Have you tried Guitar hero, we bought that at Christmas and the kids and us have been quite addicted and it hasn't worn of yet.
WitchHazel
Maybe you should try some other games? The Wii Fit isn't really my sort of thing, but we have things like the "Family Trainer", which is hilarious - involves me and DH standing on a mat and trying to hold each other up while we use our feet and weight to steer a runaway mine cart.... ...or the musical instruments one... ..or the Brain Academy... We have quite a few games for ours, and I love playing it with my husband, although I;m not very keen on the games that came with it as standard. BarbaraJ
my daughter bought it Jan 2008. Its been out of the box about 6 times. gets played for 1 night then put back in the box. She has half a dozen games but i much prefer 'buzz' when people come round because the controllers for the wii are sooo expensive we only have 2. Chickpea
I tried to trade in Wii fit at game, but they wouldn't accept it for elf & safety reasons, because we had played on it with bare feet and someone else may do so and contract something nasty and sue the company I was quite offended!
