Happy Valentines Day

We are not big celebraters either after 18 years, although OH is romantic, often buys flowes and leaves little message and cards for me for no particular reason. We did go for a meal last night though mainly because I wanted to go to the Rugby today  how bad am I.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Me and DH started a challenge last year - who can buy the cheapest, ugliest card with husband or wife on it. It's not just for Valentine's Day but for birthdays, Christmas etc. So far he's winning, my card cost 50p  His cost me £1.50 I think I need to try harder.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

We don't do much for Valentine's Day. A card and thats your lot! Our DD wanted us to go over to see her this weekend in France but OH was like - no way - we'd get stitched up with the prices just because its Valentines Day so we will go another weekend.

I think we're just getting cynical in our old age

We said we wouldn't bother this year with going away & all that. But I was bought 2 troll beads the other week, a dangly heart & a treble clef.

Last night I thought I'd fold a piece aof paper into 4 & scribble a heart & a few words in it. Hubby surprised me with a beautiful card with a lovely verse! I was a bit embarrassed, but it's the thought tha counts.

I'm a hopeless romantic and at the grand age of 39 I think I could count the number of valentines Ive recieved on one hand!

Never met a guy with a romantic bone in his body. My husband would have bought a card from the newsagents if he wanted to "borrow" money for the pub, otherwise nothing.

Baah humbug; you miserable lot!!!

I frantically knitted a pind heart and stuffed it last night and hung it from the mirror of OH's work van, with a piece of re used xmas ribbon; desperate measures!!

He, meanwhile, had taken a photo of a bunch of roses, printed off a dozen little pictures of them, and left them all over the place(under the milk in the fridge, in my purse, on the curtain rail..)some of them wont be found for a very long time, methinks!!

True romance blossoms really really cheaply in this house!!
