Electricbarbarella
it will never get better, I started with 6 girls last summer, I got 3 ex batts a couple of weeks ago and now I am thinking how I can afford an eglu as well so I can have even more, you will not however regret it, chickens are the best pets ever. maryeadrian
This is fabulous! I'm not alone!!!! Everytime I start to say something at home my husband says, "Is this about chickens?" And of course the answer is always yes. And I don't even have my Cube or hens yet! I can only imagine what it will be like when we do have them. Plus, here I am reading and posting on the forum while I'm at work. It's far more interesting..... Even my staff have started calling me the "Chicken Lady". But I'm not alone!!!! The rest of you are just as mad as I am! No........we're the normal ones, the rest of them are mad for not loving chickens as much.
*mummy_hen*
If you're nutty about chickens now....you're going to OBSESSED once they arrive!! Hehe! I bet you are so excited, remember to post pics once they have arrived.
Happy chickens!
Afraid I can't help you, your condition is incurable, but treatment is to keep chickens, log in to forum regularly and be part of a better (if a little obsessive) world!! ps am another sufferer.... maryeadrian
Ok, so the question then becomes, "How do I not become totally insane waiting for my Cube?" It's due to be shipped late Spring to the States. So far I obsessively read the forum, look at all the chooks you all have, measure, remeasure, and then measure again to be SURE I don't have more room, look at everyone's set ups, look up photos of different breeds, look at feeders and anything else remotely chicken related! I think I've crossed the line into total madness.............and it feels so good!
AJuff
I wholeheartedly stand by everything said above. My OH thinks I'm mad being so chicken obsessed!! I started with an eglu and three girls. Then five girls . . then two eglus and ten girls . . . then a walk in run . . . . then a cube and fourteen hens in total . . . . now a change to the garden arrangements . . . it neve ends as OH puts it!!! I just love it, what a fantastic obsession, never a dull moment. Also a fab Omlet site where people understand when family don't. And I'd still love a corton blue, a welsummer and another white star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your chicken journey!!!

We only got our girls 4 weeks ago (and another one last weekend) and they're all I think about - how are they, did they eat their breakfast, how early can I leave work to get back in time to give them their treats etc etc!
