theherd123
Shona i just knew you would arrive here at some point! Welcome to the debate! Ok does anyone know if the powers that be at Omlet HQ will produce the mark 3 in purple? Its a big ask i know, but OH has promised me another Eglu so my cunning plan is to possibly get pink now and purple later!

ubereglu
I think it's just an idea at the moment and they haven't done prototypes or anything yet.
Martin B
I'm pretty sure they have made prototypes!
The Dogmother
Great news karen, and glad to hear that they are flourishing. Ex-batteries can be so hard to look after - they come with a complex of inherited problems, but I am sure that you're more than up to nurturing them. Emma - you're getting me excited too now... Go for purple.
theherd123
I still havent decided on the colour yet! Might just toss a coin tonight! Anyway back to Karens thread! How are the girls now? Is Fairy any more feathery? How is Pixies side, can she dust bath properly yet? Do you think chickens get 'that Monday morning feeling' too?
chocchick
but Pixie had a dust bath today, well one side of her, as the other is still too sore to lie on Bless her that's so sweet, and them looking up at the rain too-probably a novelty Keep us updated, have enjoyed following what they are up to. I think purple

Karen & co.
Incase anyone else gets as excited as me over little things Pixie has been able to have a proper dust bath...... in the flower bed I was sat on the door step with a coffee thursday morning and they were watching me, and making me feel guilty the other 4 girls were wandering round the garden so I bit the bullet and let them all out together. There were a few stand offs but nothing too alarming, actually the ex batts were picking on the others a little not the other way round They didn't move too far from the eglu, and popped themselves back in with no problem when I needed to do the school pick up Pixie's leg is alot better, she still has a slight limp, but much better I think Elf may need to keep her wits about her if she wants to stay top chuck, Sprite has gone from looking for an escape route to being the first to come to me, and comes into the kitchen if I leave the door open, and Fairy now has a little punk purple spiky collar of feather quills coming through, and is much less skittish Tomorrow I'm going to move their eglu down to the bottom of the garden near the others, so they can share the area under the bushes, and still have enough space to stay away from each other if necessary, fingers crossed karen x
Martin B
Glad all is well! Have they laid many eggs, and any pictures? All the best, Martin
