gooner.girl
AWWWWW! My OH is fantastic as well! He always makes me cups of tea in bed, washes up, cooks dinner, buys flowers and chocolates, sends me a card on our monthly anniversarys even though we have been married 3 years and tons more stuff. I am very lucky. I did make him promise to support "Ooops, word censored!"nal before i said i would marry him though!
The Dogmother
The Boy and I aren't married - won't be doing that again! But he's fab too
theherd123
Wow - ever thought of hiring him out? Or even better, setting up some 'husband training' classes? Sorry i cant hire him out as there will be no one here to do the washing, ironing, cleaning etc! I have a magic washing basket too - every girl needs one! Mel (& Paul)
Are you sure that was (& Paul) No, he is lovely. I'm not very well at the moment and he is being really caring (I have to make the most of it as his caring nursing phase tends to wear out after 36 hours............) theherd123
Just don't bring them on Saturday Emma - I don't want them, even for free! Dont worry Lesley im dosing myself up and have half the pharmacy supply in my kitchen - Lemsips, Beechams Flu Plus, paracetamol, Strepsils, along with the heating on! One Man Banned
Hope you sniffly people all feel better soon - but can I advise caution. Please make sure that if you take a cocktail of cold and flu remedies that you check that only one of them has paracetamol and that you dont take a mixture of paracetamol products - it's very easy to do these days! Sorry My overworrying hat taken off now. A xx

Cate in NZ
I hope you're feeling better for tomorrow Emma.... it's the big day then isn't it I helped with another rescue last weekend, and it's wonderful seeing all the scraggy hens being collected and knowing that they're going to fabulous new homes with freedom to stretch, scratch and enjoy a well earned retirement. And almost all of the new owners are so excited and with fabulous new homes sorted for their hens..... the BHWT and their coordinators do such a wonderful job making these adoptions possible You will post lots of photos won't you

Feeling very nervous right now and a bit too!!! Im so worried about the girls and do hope i do the right thing by them. The plan is to keep them indoors for a few days then move them into the garage (as suggested by Mel) so it will give them chance to get use to the colder temperature before they go outside. I predict that i will burst into tears when i see all the poor little hens when i pick mine up! One question though - will i be given my hens or do i have to pick them out? The Dogmother
You should get a chance to pick them out Em - adopters did when we did the rescue at Jane's.
theherd123
Oh that worries me a little as i know i will always pick the most poorly or scraggy hen as i will feel so sorry for them
Trish
But with all the loving care they'll get from you they aren't likely to stay that way for long Emma
