Steady! :D We'll be ordering quick set concrete, and asking for the undertaker to visit next.

I don't know about Beckie but I have no trouble with this one...

the pins in the doll thing - I did that once and the girl/nasty female dog concerned (we were 6 or 7 at the time) broke her arm the same evening

throwing things - I threw my new electric kettle at my ex (while we were still married of course) it ricocheted down the hall, hit the tiled floor at speed and developed a leak

so can't recommend these two methods - go with the writing a letter

or let us loose on her...

Bake bread.

All that kneading and pounding is very theraputic and then you get that lovely smug feeling for having been clever, consturctive, organised and at-one-with-the-universe enough to bake your own bread.

Personally I find swearing massively whilst kneading over enthusiastically the best answer to those red-mist moments - it was something my Mum always got me to do when I was grumpy (not that I was ever grumpy, of course :liar: ).

Send her 5 ton of coal :?: A mountain of sand, to be put in her driveway when she's out :?: Order a taxi to take her to hospital to treat the fit she will have when she sees the sand :!::lol:

I was thinking more of posting korma chookpoo through the letterbox!:lol::lol:

Seriously, I do hope things are calmer, Becky. The letter thing is by far the more mature approach to take. I find writing things down, or even discussing it out loud with myself does really help me to exorcise my anger. *hugs*

I set fire to my ex husbands belongings in the back garden the day I left him, clothes records golf clubs everything, the neighbours called the fire brigade who very kindly stayed to make sure my bonfire didn't spread but didn't put it out either, they thought it was funny  I found an old phot of him a few weeks ago and put that into the fire too, I've been away from him for 20 years and the sight of him still involked the same reaction.

how did you get "yippee 1000!" under your avatar fowlbird?

It's an automatic label like the others that come up when you tip over into the next posting category - it will change soon as well.

Becky, how are things today? I have been through all the same things as you, and had the most wonderful friends, who listened and let me rant until I got it out of my system. Going for a long run is great too.

fairly new to the forum ... thought it would just be about chickens, but you lot are all bonkers ... its fantastic !! i especially love the baked potato idea.

I find the best thing to do (and the most annoying for the other person) is to refuse to get drawn into an argument about whatevers happened. You still have to off load the anger behind the scenes but its great knowing that they think it hasnt got to you at all (usually their sole purpose).

I have a mental hate list of people I don't like. Usually, when something happens to the a person on my hate list, I feel very satisfied.

I usually go & talk to the chickens - they are good listeners.

I've also been known to take off all my clothes ( in my house) when absolutely fuming - I don't know why, but I soon started to laugh at myself - stood there totally starkers.

I've stood on the spot and screamed really loud.

I do my ironing, as I find it relaxing.

I do cry a lot when angry.

I used to shut myself in my craft room & make things.

I draw daft pictures of the nasty people. I sometimes draw them locked up behind bars.:lol:

I go & potter in my greenhouse / garden.

Or I go & sit in the caravan & think.

Splashing in puddles with your wellies on is therapeutic.

funny what we do eh?

Got to be careful how to channel intense anger... I once got soooo cheesed off with my boss that I sent him a nasty though and he had an accident with his brand new car on the M1... nothing bad happened to him (thank Goddess!) but his sun-roof was slashed clean off by something falling from a lorry in front... since that day I have been very careful what I wish on to people... And I noticed this person was a tad more respectful to me too...

Beware sending nasty thoughts tend come back to you but... the doll making is a very powerful ritual - make a little doll looking like the person who's been nasty to you, if possible use something that belonged to her or has her energy in someway, but instead of sticking pins just put it outside and ask the Universe (or the Goddess, or God, or whatever you believe in) to send her whatever she deserves... that way justice will be done but you have not ill-wished anything unfair.

When you feel better about it, just bury the doll, with the anger and ask the energy to be grounded for the good to all concerned. (After all 'manure' is the best to feed plants with... so you're sending her psychological 'manure' to be transformed into good energy).

Try to breath deeply taking in the good cleansing energy in your breath and let go of the nasty stuff. Ground yourself, feel the loving earth under your feet while you bury the doll.

And if you can tell the doll what you think of the person and her actions using as colourful language as you want/need.

Gosh I do sound like a New Age tree hugger sometimes... Mind you most of the time I skip the ritual and go straight into the 'colourful' shouting...

And you can always come to the forum for a virtual 'drink with the gals' and a big hug...

Sending you a big one ((((huggy)))) ...don't let the 'eejits' bring you down.:clap::clap: to you gal!

PS. I've been in your situation too... so I can guess how you're feeling. Just know you're doing great keeping the balance and looking after your little ones. I just wish we were nearer so you could pop in for a chat and a nice bar of chocolate.

I don't wish ill of anyone although if someone REALLY gets my goat, I do do things to tee them off ;)

I'd never wish anyone physical harm though, I really believe evil thoughts come back to you in one way or another and it's a waste of energy anyway

I try to keep The Desiderata in the back of my mind all the time, it helps me anyway.

It gets attention though - at times when you think it's better talking to the wall! :D:roll:

I can't stop chuckling about this one, not sure I'd be brave enough to try it though
