Is anyone doing else anything for Red Nose Day?

I think I'm the only person with a car red nose in Sheffield!

Yes!

Picked one up in Sainburys yesterday! I'm a driving instructor so i'm in the car all day and it looks great on my bright yellow Mini!

We bought a normal red nose the other day and it split within 10 minutes

 

I think they do magnetic noses (like L plates) for the cars, I've seen some of those around.

Yea thats what i got a magnetic one,just hoping it doesn't fly off on the dual carriageway like L plates have a habit of doing!!

I had to buy two sets of L plates when ES was learning to drive blooming things

My L plates were fine when I was learning - my brither has the same ones now lol!

 

Maybe thats because the closest dual carriageway to us is about 45 mins away and my mum won't drive herself that far nevermind let us drive that far while she's in the car! lol

It is a relatively discreet round magnet to stick to your bonnet. It does warn you that you can't drive at over 70mph. I was a little disappointed it wasn't a huge plastic red nose to really draw attention to my car.

Ahh yes the UK goes crazy once every 4 years and wears plastic red noses on their noses and do fund raising for various charities and there is a fundraising night on TV (BBC) with celebrities doing comic things for charities. They do a different style red nose every time which you can buy and moeny goes towards charity. They also do a range of keyrings, car red noses and squeezable toys etc.

Actually Red Nose Day happens every TWO years!

 

I have a magnetic car nose too - but like you I haven't any others. I think interest is hotting up now though.

Hi Everyone

Yes Ian has a magnetic red nose as he is a driver for children with special needs and it is on the minibus he drives.

He says there are not many red noses on cars around, he think the problems is there are not many adverts for it and therefore people are not interested in it because of the money crunch.

We have also a red nose for Harry and a red nose pin for William who is going to college at the moment.

 

So near the day people might start getting interested in it.

We have a car nose too, it is not on the car yet it has been stuck to the fridge for about a month

 

Too many cars have plastic bumpers and trims so I wonder where these are going to stick. It is supposed to be for our 20 year old Volvo estate but whether OH ever actually puts it on is another matter

I want a red nose for our car but its got a fibre glass body The kids have got a red nose each. They grip on much better than previous years but I really don't like the smell

My children have moaned about the smell too, and ED thinks that they are 'really freaky' she doesn't like the teeth

We've got a couple of noses but OH won't put a car nose on his precious Jaguar After red nose day you can take the noses back to Sainsburys so that they get recycled. I remember years ago Blue Peter showed different things you could make with unwanted red noses, they were just ping pong balls with a slit then, very uncomfortable!!

Get one and cover in book backing material push holes in the see though material and 2 tie raps and put it on as it was one of the other older style red noses.

my two boys have got a red nose each, but they don't stay on their nose (they're 2yrs and 4yrs). One of them has split due to them throwing it around and standing on it. We've got them a t-shirt each too. Daniel my 4yr old has got the red Beatles one, and Oliver my 2yr old has got the white Morcambe & Wise one. I love the t-shirts I wanted the Beatles one, but the adult sizes were too big for me

DS has a red nose that I bought yesterday in Oxfam. It is his birthday tomorrow so he is going into school with his red nose and 40 red nose fairy cakes that I baked yesterday and iced today!
