Bunee's Good News!

Recommended Posts

Lovely news. Can sympathise with the nausea. I can remember lying on the bathroom floor with my head down the loo as if it were yesterday!!

Sea Bands were quite good. They were accupressure bracelets. They did take the edge off the queasiness.

I don't know if they still make them.

I am going to donate half my quota of emoticons to you!! Please use liberally and as necessary.

Hi Bunee and many congratulations!!

I'm 20 weeks gone now and have only been feeling normal for the last week or two  . Although the sickness went away at about 16 weeks, the tiredness carried on a lot longer....... The only thing that made me stop feeling sick was eating - hence I've put on far too much weight.

Good luck :D Do let us now how the dating scan went.......

Oh I had that too Jackie. There were only a few things I could stomach but it had to be often! :? I think you just have to go along with it and eat what you can face at the time. If you're not feeling so sick now and eating healthily, you'll be fine. You're doing a very special job, nurturing a new life. :D

Thanks Linda :D Not sure my OH quite sees it that way and I've given up trying to explain. He means well - but hasn't quite got the balance of caring for me and bump and sounding like he's just having a go!!

Glad you are blooming Jackie. The weight gain will be put into persepctive when baby comes along. I gained nearly 4 stone and I'm now dieting, but it's a small sacrifice for the little miracle that your are growing in your tummy and your hubby will feel exactly the same. Infact - he will think you are the bees knees when you give birth - which of course, you are

Find an article which best describes how you are feeling and casually leave it lying around for your OH to read...

Hannah - how's the :vom: Hopefully it will clear up when you move into the 2nd trimester.

Jackie, you looked Fab at the Omlet do - all fresh and blooming, which is how it should be.

A close mate of mine had problems getting her OH to get involved the first time round, but he's so into it the 2nd time that he's really getting on her nerves  I think it's hard for them to feel involved when it's not happening inside them - they feel remote. And being men, they aren't the best at articulating these feelings.

Gina is very lucky in her OH, who has been very supportive and sensitive about her swollen ankles.

Your OH will be right there when the baby is born and he feels that he can do something at last, but don't be afraid to tell him what needs doing and how to do it - their not the most intuitive.

I have more or less raised Rosie on my own from birth, and it can be hard not having the support, but in some ways it's easier if you get my drift.

We'll have to meet up when you've had the bean and cooch its toes. We'll come up your way and do everything, you can just sit back and rest

Do keep the scan print outs for the baby, I kept Rosie's and she loves getting them out to look at.

I did'nt get one this time i thought i'd wait until the 12 week one as things will be a bit more interesting eyes, ears, noses and toeses!! if you know what i mean :D
