Just for fun, obviously, but this picture amused me! It was my girls first morning in their new run and with their new feeding station.

Yes, you can. There are some static pictures here and a slideshow of the whole build here.

That is absolutely fab. What do you use for your flooring please - looks lovely, fresh and clean.

I've started with Aubiose. I was going to get Easibed, as there's a stockist just a mile from where I work, but when I got there, they had just taken delivery of bales of Aubiose, so I got that, as it was my original first choice of floor covering. I will put chipped bark by the door to prevent the Aubiose being trodden around the garden on peoples shoes as they exit the run after collecting eggs or topping up the food and water.

One 20kg bale of Aubiose covered the whole run (15ft x 6ft) as shown to a depth of 1" to 2".

I LOVE the run, very impressive and your hens are gorgeous.

What a fantastic photo . I hope you've added it to the "post a photo" thread!

I've been looking (again) at your photos (in closeup) to keep me going till my run arrives . I like the little gizmo for holding the chicken door open .

Lovely run. Very nice.

I really like your simple idea for supporting the grub & glug Andrew, does it just prop up against the side of the run? What size weldmesh is it? Lovely set up!!

[Chickvic]

Great photos! Girls and run look fab.

Actually, that is something of an experiment, which I'm testing for Tony at Aviaries4U. It's free-standing, so can go anywhere in the run. It's got weldmesh stapled to the wood frame (same wood as the WIR), with spacing that enables the Glug and Grub containers to hang at the desired height, just like they would in an Eglu run. It needs a little fine tuning, but it's got potential, for sure.

I'm getting "something to hang the grub and glug on" from Tony . Wonder if it'll be that ?
