ClaireG
I've just asked for a sample to Am hoping it will help my dry hands and Adams eczema. When he was younger, his eczema was very bad and we had creams from the Drs with urea in and they really helped.
HENthusiastic
HEN, what on earth does C want to use it on her head for? She's got a very dry / sore patch of skin. Not sure if its Eczma or not. I got an email too, saying that she had, had a lot of contact from Omletteers! She said that uddercream "must be a hot topic over there" I was really impressed with the postage charges too. A chickychickychick-ENN!!
urea...... thats wee right! Yep. Originally it was a compound found in wee. But it can also be made synthetically. If it wasn't there'd be an awful lot of scientists wandering round behind cows and horses with cups! My OH never ceases to remind me that I am using 'wee cream'. I tell him that if he doesn't shut up, 'I'll rub urea in yer ear'.

stoice
I just bought a tub of the 'extra care' udderly smooth from here... http://best-hand-cream.com/ Ordered it yesterday afternoon. It came this morning! REALLY quick delivery! I've slathered a dollop on my dry chapped hands (Not as bad as the pic on the link but patches of it) and I must say they feel SO much better. It's not greasy, and it's quite thin. There is a thicker version with shea butter if you like thicker creams. I'm impressed so far. (Pricy with postage though)
The Dogmother
My sample of the body cream was on the mat when I got home. Nice feel to it and not greasy at all. I have to say though, that being called a 'cream' I expected it to be a bit more emollient; it's quite runny and thin.
Cinnamon
At the moment I am using Burts Bees beeswax, & almond hand cream, which is very creamy & makes your hands smell like marzipan its super stuff, & a teeny jar has lasted me for ages. fluffyknickers
oooh its nice! It nice and smooth and soaks in well (my hands are really dry) and smells nice and fresh. Actually reminds me of my grandmother so think it smells like an old fashioned handcream. Does it really have wee in it?!

Valkyrie
I use it too. Discovered it at quilting classes - for those poor stabbed fingers. Apparently American quilters have used it for years. It's fantastic. Our neighbour (the nice one) had mastitis and I jokingly said she should try this. She also had terribly sore dry hands, so I lent her some of mine. Well she was absolutely delighted with it. As my quilting teacher no longer runs a shop, I have been using it very sparingly. But thank you for the information on where to get it. I only had a small pot - I'm thinking huge tubs if possible! My hands get very dry and cracked when I am in the garden - handling compost seems to make it much worse - and then all the dirt gets engrained - yuk! Sheilaz
Yes, another Omlet "must have"! I've ordered some & am looking forward to using it, thanks for the link.
fluffyknickers
found out some info official site http://www.udderlysmooth.co.uk/order.htm http://www.garden.co.uk/php/showProducts.php?plu=0610648 Yes its the one above that has the urea and i wiki'd it and it is extracted from urine. Think I will go for the one with the extract of urine. x
The Dogmother
Creams with urea are always recommended for dry skin; especially good for dry heels and feet, so slap some on those tootsies and pop some socks on top before you go to bed. Valkyrie
My pot comes from Ohio! Salem to be exact - makes you wonder if it's a witches concoction originally! I searched on the Boots site, but they don't have it either, I can't even e-mail them because although they say you can, it comes up as service unavailable. I think I will take up the Udderly Smooth campaign. I'm feeling a bit of a devil today!
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Urea can be made artificially. Fear not, er, non-wee fans!
