Fabric eggs tutorial

Where's your stall, Snowy, and what have you made?

It's at a village called Barby, just south of Daventry and Rugby. It's mainly my bags, but I've been making lots of little things to pad out the stall - and pepole tend to buy the little things then look on line for the bags :D

I've got crocheted purses; patchwork chicken pincushions; mini gift bags; aga top pads; chicken pot holders; scented dangly chickens and hearts and things and mixer covers. Plus if it's quiet I'll probably increase my stock of little crocheted flowers

I love doing fairs - I'm not even bothered if I don't sell anything, it's just lovely to be able to spend the day browsing everyone elses stalls and chatting to other crafters 8)

I keep saying that I will start to do craft fairs, perhaps three per year, with the time spent in between making and stockpiling. However, I am a full-time mother and do some commission work from home and never seem to have the time!

I'm thinking that it will be a more realistic option when my youngest starts school and I'll have some daylight hours. Either that or my house will be sparkly and clean!

Hope it goes well tomorrow.

Lovely blog; I loved this bag:

Snowy, when're you making some like that?

One day I will have the time to sit at my sewing machine!

Aaah! So many things to make and not enough time to do them all! Looks quite straightforward that one, doesn't it? )

Yes they are american.

And it's not as hard as it looks putting togther those fabrics - they are all part of a 'collection' and were all designed to co-ordinate. Lots of british companies do the same thing - my work would all be wonderfully co-ordinated if I could afford to buy 10 meters of cloth, one meter from each bolt of fabric.

I know what you mean - the display of materials in colanders did look a bit contrived. And if only my buttons were in colour-themed jars!

 someone has too much time on their hands methinks! There's another (American) blog - for recipes this time - which has a similar look and feel to it, sort of showcase.

If only my buttons were in jars!!

I don't think she sells the fabric, just buys the collections and uses them to make her lovely things.

Now this one does have her own fabric range!

Aren't they wonderful. The nearest I can get to it is some Kaffe Fassett fabrics my husband gave me. They are of course displayed in colanders without a speck of dust (put in a shoe box).

This is my attempt at the eggs shortly before the girls ran down the garden with them.:lol:

Those fabrics are just gorgeous Snowy! Shame they're all the way over the pond!

Claret and Snowy you are able to get similar fabrics in this country and I do order from America though a trip is more fun.

Have a look at these fabrics supplied by Cottonpatch at Birmingham
