Snowy
Lovely eggys Plum! Gorgeous colours I'm doing a patchwork course at the moment and am discovering the joys of some of these beautiful fabrics in the shop adjoining the classroom. But I'm really too tight to buy all new fabrics and feel that it is somewhat cheating a little to buy a matching set of fabric to do a quilt in. I do love the challenge of using s"Ooops, word censored!"s and recycled fabrics and trying to put something together from them - but I do struggle to match them sometimes! Plum
Thanks. A good egg eh. Snowy the essence of patchwork is to use s"Ooops, word censored!"s and recycled fabric. You are lucky in Leicester to have Kisko where you can get patchwork fabric at a fraction of the price elsewhere. Like a couple of pound a metre. I like buying fabrics from a range but wouldn't use just that, it loses its sparkle somehow if too coordinated. Looks too perfect and half the fun is mixing colours, patterns, shapes etc
