D'OH!! I've just posted about Ashes to Ashes on another post! I'll get rid of it - I thought it was FAB tonight! Missed the beginning but was hooked by half way through. SUCH a good show!

I only realised tonight that I haven't seen the 1st series of Ashes to Ashes . I watched Life on Mars 1 & 2 back to back on replay but didn't know there had already been one series of A to A .

 

Any idea if I can find series 1 anywhere? We've looked on replay and BBCi player with no luck .

I've had a little look but I think, unless you have your skull and crossbones on your hat, you may have to purchase it. Or maybe your local library might have it?

I will admit to not being a big fan of Keeley Hawes & her amazing acting eyebrows

I was going to say the same thing as Cinnamon. We gave up half way through. I just didn't like Keeley Hawes although she seems to have calmed down a bit in last nights episode. I thought I would give it another go as I love Philip Glenister and his character Gene just makes me laugh.

 

Good start. Hope it continues.

I agree with Seagazer, Keeley was much more restrained last night (much less annoying!) and Philip Glenister was fab as usual (I'd listen to him read out the phone book).

I love it I love it I love it and I lurve Gene Hunt!! The music is now firmly into my era and brings back such wonderful memories and of course I'm biased because he drives the coolest car ever!!

I've not seen it yet- loved the last series so will try and watch it on iplayer. Sadly it clashes with 24. Please will someone tell me that Tony is not really a baddie ????!!!

We watched both series of Life on Mars on DVD last year and we have Ashes to Ashes too but have not watched it. We now must so that we can watch the rest of series 2.

 

The acting and feeling of drama isn't as good in Ashes to Ashes judging by this weeks episode but Gene Hunt is still a fab character.
