After finding red mite in my wooden coop, and in my clothes, and my hair and after having had a shower with dog flea shampoo last night I spoke to the OH about another Eglu, we have had similar discussion previously which all ended positivly but with a distinct lack of Eglu

 

He said that was absolutely fine and how smashing to have another Eglu (I paraphrased that - what he actually said was "you can do what you like with YOUR money" but it was said with love and tenderness......I can't back that up)

 

Being off work with a horrid headache (I clonked myself on the head with a rake whilst playing with the dog on Sunday in a true Youtube moment and have a cartoon stylee lump on my head) I phoned Omlet and said I wanted a shiny Eglu with no run (£201 if anyone is interested) and they said thats fine it will take three weeks, I said no,you don't understand I will collect it, they said oh great thats brill, it will be ready in three weeks but its in stock! yes it is but it will take us three weeks to get it ready

 

I remember someone saying they had the same experience on here a few weeks back and thought they must have crossed wires !

 

I emailed James and said, look big fan and all that but come on! (or polite words to that effect)

 

I have had a nice email from Johannes saying the waiting time if you are collecting is usually three days and he is very sorry for the confusion and he will speak to customer services. and then another email from someone in customer services asking me to call and arrange collection Well done for the promt and positive response Omlet

They only have shiny Eglus and I couldn't justify the extra money for a much coveted

There is indeed Plumster. I remember reading another thread about it. I think that it was acually an accident. A whole batch of eglus came out shiney instead of the usual matt and they are selling them off a wee bit cheaper. Are you feeling the need for a shiney ?

Yes they came out of the mould shiny so its a 'faulty' batch if you like
