Two new things I have been playing with today

 

MOBYKO is a free service to back up all your mobile phone info - messages,address book,picutes,the lot.

Its dead easy & there is a facility to lik it to your Facebook profile so that any Facebook friends that are also on your phones profile pictures are shown.

 

 

 

ZILOK is an online rntal place,where you can list things you have hanging around as rentals to make a bit of money,& you can also hire.

Its free to list, & again very user friendly

That mobile back up interests me, although I'd be careful about its security. I have my phone contents copied onto my flash drive.

The mobile backup sounds useful. I currently use Orange's service where they copy your address book onto a credit card sized card (which you keep). It costs £2 or 3 and you can add to it as often as you want. Drawback is, you have to go to an Orange shop.

My phone isn't fancy at all, but it has a USB cable, I can either export the contacts as a csv file or just copy them over.

 

Not in the destructions, but easy as pie. And that's from someone who 'doesn't do texting'

I don't understand the rent one - what sort of stuff for example can you rent out & how could you trust people with your stuff?

You charge a deposit, as well as a weekly or daily charge plus you can add your own terms & conditions to the rental too.

Best to keep it local, & they recommend that you see photo id before renting.
