Old Speckled Hen Posted June 21, 2009 Share Posted June 21, 2009 Well, hubby and I are just back from camping in the Eskdale valley. Forecast was atrocious and we nearly never went. Thank heavens we did. Weather was dry if overcast but we could see the Isle of Man as we walked over Muncaster Fell then got L'al Ratty back to camp site. chickencam Posted June 22, 2009 Share Posted June 22, 2009 It was not the weekend that they forecast YD's rearranged summer fair had some rain not much but it did subdue the atmostphere a bit and yesterday we went to the Kemble Air Show and it was suposed to be a nice day but it drizzled a few times. Having said that because we were looking up at the sky for several hours we all got burnt faces even through thick cloud, so be warned you can burn even when it is overcast Another dull warm one here at the moment, we have been promised some sun for later but I am not holding my breath. We expected it to be really cloudy with maybe some drizzle but actually it was really nice, not too hot but sunny with some beautiful puffy cumulous clouds. Still lovely here, warm, sunny and a bit of a breeze. We've got the fans down out of the loft so it's a bit more bearable in the house now. I'm just glad my washing's getting dry so quickly.
