Guest Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 Yep tomorrow when the bell rings at school I'm running out of the door and into the car with waiting family and luggage (if Mum remembers how to get there!). At the moment NOTHING is packed but it's all out for the packing fairy (Mum is really a bit OCD about these things so I'll let her do it - also I pack and then EVERYTHING needs ironing somehow she manages to minimise the ironing, which is a good job as I don't know one end of an iron from the other....) So tomorrow I drive us to Boscombe to spend the night at my Aunts, Saturday morning we visit my Granny and then Mum takes James to the beach whilst I take Granny shopping. Lunchtime we head off to Southampton and find our trip. We are off to the med on Grand Princess - never been Princess line before and never had such a small stateroom - we have one with bunks! It's a real cheapy week for the three of us, slightly less than it would have cost us to go to Centre Parcs. So I'll be around more infrequently - not sure what the internet access is like on this boat - I may end up onshore in Starbucks (actually that sounds like my idea of heaven!) I packed the passport and tickets in my laptop bag and put that in the car (Mum has a really poor record with documents lately!) Mum has dropped me in school and is going home to pack my case! She is picking James up early and they are meeting me here as the bell rings so we can be off before the getaway starts properly. We finish at 2.45 so it does give us a good start.
