Ain't Nobody Here

Is this my fault?

Recommended Posts

Sorry, I'm here to let off steam as OH and I have had a huge row  . (We never ever have rows :? .)

Bear with me  .

My brother was due to take YS and my nephew to the rugby at Murrayfield this evening. Nephew was to stay the night so brother & girlfriend could go out. Brother's ex-wife changed the plans (we think) so nephew was no longer coming. We found this out on Wednesday. Brother asked OH if he'd like to go instead. OH said he was taking ES cycling but as kickoff was 5pm that should be OK. Sorted.

YS got back yesterday from 2 weeks away hillwalking/camping etc so v. tired. Managed to go away cycling today with OH and ES though. Arrived back with little time to spare to get to the match. YS (not keen to go anyway) fell asleep. OH started ranting about how he hadn't wanted to go anyway and he wasn't going to force YS. Kept saying "what are we going to do about it?" I said "make a decision either way". He wouldn't and kept blaming me for organising it  . Refused to phone my brother and explain. That was my job apparently. Even swore at me (never done that before :( ). I eventually persuaded a very sleepy YS to go so I dropped them off 10 minutes late. Tried to arrange when to pick them up but OH was sulking and said they'd get the bus (not an easy journey  ).

So how is it my fault when he was asked on Wed if he wanted to go? He said OK. He did grumble about it a bit but never once said to phone and say he'd changed his mind. The tickets cost £60 each  but we're hoping brother got them free/cheap through his club :anxious: . He was going to pay for YS's ticket but don't know about the extra one.

*breathes out*

If that's the only row you've had in xxxxxx number of years together, it must have come as a big shock to the system :!:

I got a phone call saying a lift home would be good. We got fish & chips on the way home and then watched some TV. Not sure if he's still sulking (hard to tell sometimes, he's the silent type!) but he's hardly said 2 words to me all evening. I'm behaving just as normal and haven't mentioned it apart from asking how the match went.

I'll just sit it out  .

I've married into a family of ostriches so "things" don't get mentioned. Bit difficult to talk with your head in the sand, I suppose  .

He's not mentioned it at all but is talking to me as much as he usually does (which isn't a lot - may explain why we don't have arguments  ). Why do you think I spend so long on here  .
