Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome to the forum, 2chickens . I don't have a superglug so can't help you, I'm afraid but I'm going to move this over to "Chickens" - hopefully someone can help you there . Plum
Tapping it usually works. Try picking her up and putting her beak to the nipple. If you give a saucer they won't get used to it. I don't think in the heat it's good to sit it out but they will be thirsty in the morning and bet they will have worked it out by lunchtime tomorrow. Keep tapping and take some paracetamol. When mine had the glug they made a right old racket. Tap it with a stick rather than your hand because they may be a bit nervous of you to begin with. Congratulations by the way. Space Chick
I did the tapping with a stick, and they got used to it really quickly. Although frequently these days both Rose and Donna will jump on top of it and will stick their heads in to drink
purplefowler
Thanks for that, I had been wondering the same thing myself as my 2 new ones were used to the traditional feeders. One now jumps on top and dips her beak in and the other just waits for the stick to drip Will keep trying. I had hoped they would watch the older 2, but at the mo they aren't allowed near it when they are all in, so I let the newbies in on their own for small periods of time so they can find their feet. Jules.
I did the tapping with a stick, and they got used to it really quickly. Although frequently these days both Rose and Donna will jump on top of it and will stick their heads in to drink use this to stop them it took my girls a couple of days to get used to the superglug, but they did eventually. Try holding on of their beaks up to the water?
