Tweety Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 One of my dear little ex batts died peacefully this afternoon. She was fine until yesterday, which she spent looking hunched and miserable, and had been asleep on and off for most of today. There were no signs of illness, but I knew that I would have to take her to the vet tomorrow if she didn't perk up, and I am very glad for her sake that she has passed away at home in the company of the other hens. She had a very happy 10 months of life here and, although I am sad that she has gone and will miss her very much , I am glad that she had a second chance at life and that her death was just nature taking its course.
