Egg Lou
How .. Omlet are really adding the bits we all need!
craftyhunnypie
The chick conversion kit looks interesting! I wish they sold the normal chick feeders for just a few chicks - the trough ones are a bit industrial / intense farming looking. smanners
Oh wow I wish this had been available a few weeks ago, I had to create all of this myself to adapt my Eglu. Mine are three weeks old now so don't not worth getting now
TAJ
That chick edging for the run would be ideal for keeping auboise/bedding material from getting out - not just for keeping chicks in. Tracy
The Dogmother
I just use a roll of green plastic lawn edging, secured with cable ties - cheap as chips and works.
HENthusiastic
I used some pieces of feather board I had lying around and logs/rocks to hold it in place. Cheaper and more environmentally friendly . I did buy some lovely little plastic cups that clip onto the bars though. They cost about £1.50 for 3 from Flytsofance (and they arrived the day after ordering ). I'm really pleased with them. I was using bowl and dishes from the kitchen that were getting spilled and kicked over. These are lovely and neat and much tidier.

laurmurf
but has anyone tried the new kit? Successful? Do my impending babies need it? Is it a new omlet must-have?
HENthusiastic
I wouldn't personally. I took the roosting bars out, and laid some planks of wood along the edges outside. Not as pretty as the omlets stuff, but effective. . Id rather spend the money on........ ANOTHER CHICKEN!!!!!!!!
