atsw
I know everyone says that chicks grow really fast, but all the same, it's still hard to belive quite how quickly they grow (and how much they eat ). Anyway, here's a few pictures of how my Partridge Pekins chicks look today (2 weeks old). They've all got amazingly fluffy feet! All seven chicks are doing very well. I'm pretty sure the black chick is a boy, already got a good comb growing on his head and his feathers are totally different in texture and length. I've no idea about the others, anyone any thoughts . Andrew

Redwing
Yes the black one is a frizzle, super sweet I also agree with you that its a boy Frizzle pekins are quite sought after so you probably would find a nice home for him if you cant keep him I'm not sure about the others , the one on the right in the bottom pic could be a boy They are apparently quite easy to sex as the boys combs start growing a lot quicker than the girls and most breeders can tell at a day old They are lovely, really pretty colouring
atsw
Ooo your black one is a frizzle! Lovely pics . Yes, I think you're right Emma, and if so I'll be well pleased. How are your Button and Bingo doing? If you have a picture of your Black Frizzle today I'd be really interested to see it. We'll be keeping our black frizzle Pekin regardless of gender. I shall try to get a better photo of him/her later. Andrew
Egluntyne
Lovely. I wondered if the two in the centre of the top picture might be boys? Both have a very blokeish stance.

atsw
Thanks everyone. When they were first hatched Tom thought it was probably 4 girls and 3 boys, plus the black one. We lost one, which we think was one of the girls, so that leaves 3 boys and 3 girls, plus the frizzle (boy). I've had plenty of offers for any boys, so they all have good homes ahead of them - as I said earlier, we will be keeping the Frizzle regardless of gender. Everyone seems to love my Frizzle, so for your viewing pleasure, here's some more pictures of him that I took earlier this afternoon. He's a real character .
