Its only day 18

 

Its also leaking goo, that can't be good the chick is alive though

My Ancona pipped on day 18 too, hatched the next day and is fine. I blamed the very hot weather because it's LF, not bantam, so it was early.

Well the goo chick is still in the shell but making progress

 

I have three hatched so far:

 

1 x Cuckoo Araucana with a cool hairdo

1 x Araucana from an unlabelled egg

1 x Cuckoo Maran

 

five other eggs have pipped

Can you not help goo chick out?

No. You should never try and 'help' chicks out of their egg, however tempting. It does take hours for the chicks to hatch out of their eggs.

The egg is covered in blood vessels, seen during candling, and if you try to help a pipped chick out of its egg, you risk breaking one of these blood vessels and killing the chick.

The effort of breaking out of the egg strengthens the chick, and any that do not hatch are likely to be the weaker or ill chicks.
