Does anybody else ever feel...... Part # 4

Recommended Posts

:lol::lol::lol:

Hi Joojoo! Good one.

My naughty MIL opened a tin of toms once and it had gone bad - burst all over her, the walls, the ceiling. So she called for her daughter who was about 14 in a very weak voice to help. SIL screamed the place down. Hehehe. It took ages for MIL to reassure her that it wasn't really blood. It probably took longer to clean it all up. I have only had that happen with prunes when on holiday at my grandparents. My dad called me "Prune Face" for years after.

Well we have been doing a mega batch cooking session. Picking lots of things from the garden to pop in our soup. Not sure whether the lurgy has visited us, so just in case we are getting prepared. If we don't get it, then fine, winter sorted. We are also cooking loads of toms and garlic with olive oil and some pepper to make passata. It smells fantastic. I think we should have testers (had soup for dindins earlier with homemade bread  ).

I've done any number of stupid (and embarrassing things  ). Here's one for you? What's your most embarrassing moment?

I'll go first...

When I was about 18/19, I had this gorgeous floor length skirt that was quite full in terms of the amount of material in it. Anyway, went out in car to supermarket with boyfriend at the time, got out of the car and closed the car door only to find that some of the material had got stuck in the lock. Tried and tried and tried and tried to open the door but it just wouldn't open. This lovely little old man, had obviously seen me and BF struggling to open the door, came over and said "are you ok?" at which point I replied "No my skirts stuck" !! It ended up with him holding his coat around me while I got undressed in the flipping car park!!!!!:oops::oops::oops: (Thank God it wasn't a dress  ) I then managed to slide back into the drivers side and climb across to the passenger side with his coat wrapped around me. I opened the window and pulled most of the skirt back in through the window and BF drove us home. Pulled up outside the house, he came round to the door and it opened straightaway :lol::lol::lol::lol:

It was hilarious when I look back on it now, but I was considerably slimmer then. Goodness knows what I'd do if it happened now :lol:

I've got purple hair!!!!!

and slightly purple hands and fingernails

Ooh try and get it off your skin as soon as you can. The longer it's on there the longer it takes to get it off

Are we going to see a piccie of it? Your hair that is not your skin

Purple purple tree! Try using nail varnish remover to get the stains off your hands - DD always does that and it works - strangely enough!

OK, as I said on the Irish view - went holidaying with a friend to Ireland and met up with her aunty and family. We went to a dance and I happily danced to the Irish national anthem without realising it. It was a lovely tune, but one of my friends relations gently put her arm on my shoulder from behind and told me. They thought it was so funny - I have never been so embarrassed in my whole life. (I knew I had another one) The other one was doing the splits into a puddle at a level crossing during the morning rush hour on the way to school. All the drivers could probably see me not to mention all the people around the station. I got a bit chafed and very wet knickers. I'm sure there's more, but I have filed them in my "haven't a clue" part of my brain.

Pooey rain - stair rods. Poopoopooh!

With Dan about 5 mins ago. Dan loves it, think it'll take a bit of getting used to. Hope they don't mind in the museum.

My eyebrows look almost non-existent now.

Sorry about the slightly manic looks on our faces, I used the photobooth thingy on my MacBook, and I always seem to be looking the wrong way. It's hard to look natural when you're getting counted down.

Say Hi to Dan and Oli for me :D

Hope OH and Grampa enjoyed the footie (despite the fact we lost, and Stupid McCormack missed a penalty :wall: )

Have a fab time at the festival.

Phil has taken some fab photos of the girls, so I may post some later on the chickens thread, if I can get him to re-size them :D
