Ideas for teenage recuperation

Recommended Posts

My friend's fifteen year old son has had to go into hospital for an operation. He is coming home tomorrow but will be pretty weak and in quite a lot of pain.

I was wondering if anyone had any bright ideas of what I might be able to take to him to try and brighten his day a little.

The only thing that occurred to me was itune vouchers so that he could maybe download some music or stuff but it is pretty uninspiring! I am sure that there are brighter ideas than that...

Hmmmm

Maybe a good time to get him interested in crosswords? Kids don't seem to do them these days, but I used to love them as a teenager - especially a good general knowledge one (not cryptic!) and a Junior Pears Encyclopedia. I learnt loads of useless information that way! 8)

Not sure if he would be interested in the Guiness book of records? My ES has one every year as pat of his Christmas present, and reads through reading out loud all the rather odd records he finds

Hope he is on the mend :D
