Seagazer
Thanks everyone I like the idea of the "forum aunties" Cinnamon Hopefully it will be good, just scared, starting to pack now lol (nothing like leaving it a tad late eh?!) You mean you've started packing already? My DD always leaves it really late. The landing looks like a jumble sale at the moment. I have a feeling it will be a mad dash later this evening as her boyfriend is here staying this weekend (he was from uni but has now left). You would not believe the amount of 'stuff' that she takes. Best of luck and don't worry, you'll have a great time.
ChrisP
Well I wouldn't say i've started packing, there's just a huge pile of kitchen stuff mum's bought!

Seagazer
Well my DD has been busy all morning - playing on FIFA something or other. All her kitchen stuff has been mingled into our kitchen stuff. Could take ages to get it all sorted. Having a big roast dinner in an hour or so then hopefully she'll get on and do the packing! ChrisP
That's what my mum's doing too! Cooking a roast then after I have to pack There's gonna be a lot of bags/boxes/suitcases around here And, I'm taking ym quilt, so maybe I should sleep in the eglu for a while so that can be packed
Seagazer
I'm not sure that will work Chris! I think your parents will notice the eglu is missing. We've got her suitcases down but not a lot has been done, she's mainly been chatting to uni friends on the phone. She's now sitting watching a dvd of the TT races with us! Apparently she never shouts or argues with us when she's packing and leaving to go to uni. Somehow I think shes telling
Lewis
I like the look of Aberystwyth too I don't feel ready to go to Uni, I want to stay at school forever (but not do any exams) I have thought about a gap year but don't know what I'd do, and would prefer to go straight in so theres not a whole yar where I forget everything Good luck

ChrisP
I thought about a gap year, but I think I knew that if I had one of them I would never want to go to uni afterwards. I think I'm gonna have one after i've finished uni
alih
Chris you will have a ball...my uni days were wonderful, though a bit nerve-wracking at first, and it sounds as though you have a massively caring home to go back to when you need food/ washing/ warmth/ rest. Make the most of every day and enjoy your freedom! and let us know how you go
Space Chick
I agree, go to loads of Freshers week activities. Aber is a fab uni, and the town is lovely. Be safe, have fun and remember you are only a student once.
