Sunshine
I got an email today saying that i had been selected for 2 tickets to watch Strictly being filmed on Oct 3rd! Just means i have to make the trip to London and get there early enough so i get in. Just wondered if anyone had been and if so what time they got there to queue up outside. It would be awful to pay £50 ish for the train ticket and wait for a while and then not actually see the show! I need to decide who to go with now! None of my close friends like Strictly so i feel it will be a family affair. Thank you from a very excited Emma!! ..lay a little egg for me
Have applied for tickets in November. Applied last year but no luck. Last year I was reading the threads on the strictly forum it seems you do need to get there pretty early and queue. The number of seats actually available is variable depending on how many celebrities and their friends are going. You may get more info from the strictly forum. How extremely eggciting! Can you glitz up an Omlet t-shirt for us to spot? (I think they ask you to dress quite smart). Have a great time!
The Dogmother
We went to the national tour for Rosie's birthday this year - it was fantastic; far more fun than on telly.
Seagazer
Brilliant, I hope you manage to get in. My MIL got tickets for Ready, Steady Cook and queued for ages but didn't get into the first show (they do a few) they were told to go away and come back later and managed to get in. She said that some people had been queueing for absolutely ages. I've applied for tickets, same as last year, but haven't been yet. I saw the tour too and it was fantastic. Chickendoodle
There were certainly threads on the Strictly board last year about getting in - had a quick look at the new board but can't get to grips with the changed format ! From memory people were getting there pretty early (2ish I think) and queuing. I think you can get changed inside so you dont need to stand outside in your best bib and tucker. Hope you get in - I am very

Sunshine
Thanks everyone. I've been reading posts on the Strictly forum and it definately seems like we will have to get there early. We are planning to get to the BBC studios by 2pm. It turns out one of my best friends who i havn't seen for a while loves Strictly so she is coming with me. I still havn't decided what to wear. I live in jeans and they are not allowed so i'm thinking a skirt with a pretty top(i don't have an omlet top). I'll report back to you next weekend. Sunshine
Well i went last night. It was fantastic! We got there at about 12:30 and so were in the top 45 in the queue. This meant we were sat on the balcony facing the judges. We wanted to be sat on the floor but then when we were sat waiting in our seats we realised that we would be right at the back and some seats had views blocked by curtains, cameras etc. So we decided that the balcony was better, we were on the one facing the judges too. If we had been on the other side we wouldn't have seen the judges at all! It was definately worth it getting there early. The dancing was fantastic and it was amazing to see them there. The quickstep is one of my favourite dances so i was rally happy when i knew that was one of the chosen dances. The dance floor was much smaller than i expected (especially when Jade and Ian were dancing!) It still feels like a dream! Mum recorded it for me so i'm going to watch it later. We were briefly spotted when Tess was on our balcony so i'm going to watch it to find out. I didn't think much of Andy Williams in his trainers. Bruce really suprised me though. He came on 10-15mins beforehand and was chatting to us and telling jokes. I just expected him to come out when it started and then leave at the end. We rushed off at the end so we didn't have to queue to get our bags and mobile phones so i'm not sure how long they all stayed on the dancefloor for. If anyone gets the chance to go, do it!! We did it in a day. We set off driving at 8:30 and were back at 1am. Thanks to my lovely dad who said he would drive us there and back! Cinnamon
How wonderful I must say that I went all swoony when Bruce said that Andy Williams was singing 'Moon River', which is my favourite song eve, but thought he was out of synch with the music a bit
Sunshine
He was filmed after a man had told us when to clap. The warm up man had to ask who was coming on when we was introducing Andy Williams, he didn't realise than his microphone was still on!! Andy Williams had to perform twice as there was a techincal hitch with the 1st take. He just came on, sang and then went again. I hadn't heard of him before last week. The rest was all live though. Bruce said that Lily Allen, Mariah Carey, Rod Stewart and The Bee Gees are all in talks with the Strictly people to do performances. Not sure who is on this week, they didn't seem to say. Jules.
I thought that the dancers with Andy Williams did a quick change afterwards that explains it. And that the dancers all got onto the floor quickly after him too, for the results announcements. Eagle-eyed, me
