Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 9

Recommended Posts

Couldn't get on here last night - homework took priority. :D

Still, well done Chiccy with the 9000 - sounds like a sequel to another Sci-fi programme for Chiccyriccy.

Come out from hiding young lady - OK this is me and OH discussing DD's punishment - he's on the right (ooer - it's a bit big - TEABAG HELP!:

Hi all, I like your little Christmas countdown thing Griffin. Enjoy your lunch.

Hubby has just informed that January and February are the coldest months in Latvia, when temperatures are in the -7 to -1 C, although it can get much colder. I'm starting to regret agreeing to go. Anyone know where I can get really good gloves, that aren't too expensive?

I made bread this morning, and just ate some - still warm - for my lunch. It was seriously yum :D

Koojie :lol::lol::lol:

OK, it's official - I'm a very sad person. Give me a couple of hours on the computer and I have discovered Stargate Atlantis action figure toys. Now what could I possibly want with them? Ooh my own John Sheppard. Pity they aren't life sized and robots (Fred - instead of world domination - a little something simple??? for little old me????) - I could dispose of OH and have Claret's tabby kitten - and Paolas Maine's.

I suggested to Phil that we ask for a Claret kitten. I won't tell you exactly what he said, this being a family forum and all, but I interpreted the response as a NO!

However, he has said that I can get 2 Silkies, as being petite ladies he thinks they will not upset the run dynamics/space too much. I just want a second opinion from my partner in crime Palmer07 before we go ahead. I have borrowed my friends dog crate just incase, as do not want to separate off the whole intro area as its a third of my run.

I'm just trying to decide what to make for tea. I have some lovely, organic Tamworth Pork Loins, now usually I would do a Pear Cider Cream Sauce with them, or a good old gravy, but we had a Gravy dinner on Sunday and Monday and Phil says he doesn't want Pear Cider Sauce tonight as "we always have that and I want a change", so now I am stuck.

I'm going to have a nose in my Michelin cookbooks to see if I can try anything unusual and fancy

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuum! All sounds lovely to me, Debs.

Good news about the Silkies though.

OH not home till about 10 tonight - he's doing his John Harvey Jones bit up in London - last week he was working there and "Ooops, word censored!"ody offered him a cup of tea - so his gasping tactics obviously doesn't work there. DD at college late - she's serving tonight (hope she remembered her dickie bow tie). That leaves DS and myself. I'll probably do spaggy because OH can reheat a portion if he hasn't eaten already (although he has dinner out and expects dinner when he gets home too - oinkyoinky). When I go to pick up DD I'll put on a mini shepherd's pie (Quorn with green lentils) and by the time we get home it will be ready for her.

Oh, he's just rung to say he's in Christmas World in Harrods and feeling very festive now - did I want any baubles? Er no - I know the tacky things he picks out - I'm sure Harrods will have something grossly tacky and extremely expensive to suit him amongst the nice bits!

...Koojie OH is sounding like chichi christmas decoration wise

He says it's more to do with 'the decorations of his childhood'

Sounds good Debsie...when's your next dinner party?...I am determined I shall come down south

I like the christmas count down thing too, Griffin

hm...I am thinking of making a world domination countdown now

Glad you're feeling better Joah and Fred.

My cold has is quietening down, although I am dizzy and living off calpol.

You'll be fine with your jab JJ :D

As for my next dinner party, I haven't held one whilst I have been ill, I may have one in October though but probably a less elaborate menu than usual.

Still don't know what to do with the Pork. I have consulted my Michelin cookbooks but nothing is jumping out at me. Maybe I'll go back to a more traditional cook book. I am trying to decide if a sweetcorn puree would go with pork, as we have fresh corn on the cob here, or I could go more American and non fancy and go Barbecue sauce type with corn and make some chips or potato wedges for Phil, although I did want to use the carrots I've got

I know Roasted Carrots, that would go with a Barbecue type sauce. Right thats it, I've decided!

We are having Pan Cooked Pork, with corn on the cob, roasted carrots and Barbecue Sauce.

Now I've typed it I'm not sure.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wall:
