Hang on a rootin' tootin, blood sucking, shape shifting second!!!

 

I have just started to read the first chapter of book 10 (on authors website) and someone has died that I swear was knitting at the end of book 9 :eh:

No she dies at the end of book 9. It's not clear, but it's there :(:(

 

aaarh she is is in summerland.

 

I have re-read last few chapters. Ta!

Was in the bath at the time - I swear the water was simmering 8):lol:

that aint nothing comparted to 9 :lol: I swear Jackie Collins has nothing on this author... :oops:

good grief!! i haven't been on the forum for some time now (uni tends to be a bit distracting from the more important things in life :wink: ) and it just took me the better part of 2 hours to catch up on this thread alone!! i opened a new tab to make a list of things that i wanted to comment on and then accidentally closed it when scrutinising various actors i thought would be suitable for Quinn :doh:

 

well i'll start with: I LOOOOOOVE THE SOUTHERN VAMPIRE MYSTERIES!!!

 

i started reading the books about 3 years ago and thought they were great, had the first 6 at home and have just managed to borrow the 7th and 8th from a friend, now having read you lot going on about it all i'm going to have to stay up reading late tonight!

 

i was really impressed with the first season of True Blood, it stayed so true to the book (for the most part) although a few bits did get me miffed, like the whole nonsense with the excorsist! it was totally unneccesary and completely ridiculous (yes, even in a story about vamps, weres and a whole host of other supes!) and i always pictured Tara as being quite sophisticated and mild-mannered, so the loud-mouthed, balshy TV interpretation did not sit well with me :?

but season 2 was an absolute shambles!!! had me screaming at the telly from the word go! :wall:

 

i'm an Eric girl myself, Bill is rubbish in comparison! i was horrified by the lack of lycra in season 2!! but i must admit, my love is somewhat fickle, Alcide and Quinn have both had their fair share :oops: although after the whole Debbie polava kept going on and on Alcide lost my affections, i don't know what he saw in her :x

 

as for Quinn being played by The Rock, i think that is a load of rubbish! will not be happy if that is the case, i always pictured him as a slightly more butch Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor - Smallville) http://tgusta.es/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/michael-rosenbaum.jpg

and although i'm not overly excited by the idea of Vin Diesel as Quinn i wouldn't be 100% against it, with Timothy Olyphant as a 3rd choice http://images.askmen.com/galleries/men/timothy-olyphant/pictures/timothy-olyphant-picture-1.jpg i think he has a certain feline quality that would suit the role well

 

have been looking through other forum's fantasy cast lists for True Blood and one person had an absolute stroke of genius by suggesting Michael Cera as Barry the Bell-hop!! he would be perfect beyond words :D

Quinn is going to be tough to cast because he's massive, about 6ft 5ins if I remember rightly but he has to look as if he could turn into a tiger. He can't be too pretty, he needs to be very manly in my opinion. I can see Vin Diesel with purple eyes but I get the impression he's not particularly tall.
