Tiggy
I have an open mind about these things but I've been getting mail from someone called Tara, it sounds like a money making scam but when I didn't respond I got another today telling me that I was in danger & that there were evil forces after me, its scary stuff. I'm sure some susceptible people could easily be scared & part with their money Edited October 5, 2009 by Guest
The Dogmother
How nasty, that could really scare someone.
poachedegg
Presumably there must be a contact address/tel no? If there is I would pass all the info to your local police station as this is quite threatening and like you say, vulnerable people could believe it. Seagazer
Thats terrible, I'd definitely ask the police what they think. Just think if somebody who is very susceptible received that, they could be so upset. Its not on.
Tiggy
I did reply to the e-mail & tell her to clear off but it bounced right back, the only link that lets you make any direct contact is the one where you put in your credit card details I've done a search and other people have been taken in & its cost them a lot of money, I will pass it on to the local police. Its a link that should be closed down but I'm sure these people will just pop up again with a differnt name.
The Dogmother
Trading standards will have a field day with that one Tiggy; the crime prevention officer at your station ought to have their contact details.
chickenanne
It's just a particualrly nasty scam. Like everyone else recommends, go to the police about it, then forget it.

Exactly right, 'Utterring a threat against a person or property' is a criminal offence. Tell the police, I would.
Valkyrie
Well if she was really psychic she would be able to know your answer! Really, the depths to which people go - so unpleasant. Yep, tell the police.

Chucky Mama
I think that the only evil force after you is the person writing the email.
chickenanne
I think that the only evil force after you is the person writing the email. Totally agree...'cept they may be more interested in the contents of your bank account/wallet than you personally.
Tiggy
] Ha,Ha There was a sign at a psychic fair - 'closed due to unforeseen circumstances' my SIL once invited me to a psychic fair & then forgot she had invited me, leaving me sitting on a carpark for an hour I think the only way to deal with this scan is to report it to the police & get everyone to put it on facebook etc. Tara claims to be the secret psychic to the stars & claims to have put them onto the road to success - load of bunkum
