but I don't mind as it's the four boxes that contain my (cube purple):D I only ordered it last Thursday as well :) I thought there would be a longer wait for it.

Only thing is that DH has to put down the paving slabs for it go onto and he doesn't know when he can do it :(

I know the feeling :D

My utility room has a bale of hemcore in it and various other tubs such as diatom, poultry grit, loftsan etc etc, and now my study has open sacks of Layers mash and pellets (as they were kept in a plastic bin, but there were slugs and snails getting into it, and I was worried it may contaminate the food :anxious:

My house was far more organised pre chickens :oops:

Given the choice, my lot would eat the slugs and snails in preference to the layer mash and pellets .

Screw pics. Most look like this

but some look like this

Are they suppsoed to look like that as they don't seem right to me.

The lights going as well and we've no electric in the garage for me to check everything properly but some of it also seems very marked as if it's been put together and then taken apart. DH thinks it's me being fussy but I'm going to look again tomorrow in better light I think. Oh, and the ladder fastening hole is lopsided on one side as well :?

No those screw holes dont look too great do they? you could risk it but if it causes a problem in the future you may have been seen to have accepted it so I would ask for a second opinion from Omlet before assembling anything

Th gouge in the roof?.... it depends on how big it is I guess, my new Eglu came complete with more than a few scratches but I figured its only going to get more scratches with me so I didnt complain

Thanks Tasha, I thought that as well about the screws. Gouge on roof, I'm not happy with either. Also, should you be able to slide the egg port door across from side to side when it's locked although perhaps we hadn't locked it up properly.

Thanks everyone. Poet, those are my thoughts as well infact DH asked me if I'd bought a secondhand one but it's not that bad it's just I'd expected it to be pristine for the price. DH also said that the packaging was bad in so much as he was surprised that the pieces weren't wedged into the boxes with polysterene to stop them moving around.

I called back this morning when I'd not heard from them. Spoke to Hans who said the screw holes were ok but I've emailed him pics and also of the damage to the roof. He's said we can still build it this weekend as planned and they will sort it out. Yet to hear back though.

Tricia, he did ask if it had been couried but although some of the boxes had a small amount of damage to corners I don't think that would have caused the gouge in the lid :? We'll see what it's all like when it's together I think. Wish us luck! Did you find it easy to do?
