4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Went to my feed store for monthly farm supplies and it was heaving. Manager told me it's always like this on 'Chicken Day' so I made further enquiries- I knew they have Waitrose Columbian Blacktails in a huge field out the back, the end of lay birds were being sold off for £2 each, so.........................

 

I asked if they had a spare cardboard box and came home with Page and Clapton. They are to replace my two ex-Batts that have passed on (my excuse and I'm sticking to it) they are proper free range girls so very annoyed at being in the introduction accomodation (rabbit hutch) and they are very pretty healthy and perky. We've had an egg already will post up pics when they are out and about.

 

ETA: If anyone ever goes on about free range birds not being really free range tell them to buy from Waitrose, these hens had acres of space, perching stations, dust baths and the biggest hen house I've ever seen.

thanks all- Page and Clapton were put to bed through the egg port last night with Van Halen and Slash (ex-batts) and this morning are running around the kitchen garden. Clapton is very noisy!
