Just made the bock bocks a swing with the old roosting bars and moved the shade over towards the door, I still need to get a shower curtain then I think they'll be moved onto the patio for winter so they don't wreck the grass.

Calamity Fred is catching - burnt my hand on a baking tray. I thought it was OK, but part of it was being heated up by the oven below - oucheeeee. So copious amounts of cold water followed by lashings of Germolene, which seems to have eased it somewhat. That lovely soft squidgey piece of skin between the thumb and forefinger. Howwwwlllll! I did swear, but I won't say what I said because I don't want Teabag coming after me with her spoon and bopping me! Come to think of it, everyone wanted to look, but "Ooops, word censored!"ody offered to help with the veg. Hmphhh.

Nice day today as Number One Son has been very pleasant and bonding with his dad - well until he got trigger happy on the Amazon site. Then it was grumpy shout and off for a walkabout, came home after mulling everything over and apologised. Well knock me over with a feather! Who is this boy?

This topic is the best thread ever. Koojie, you always entertain. Not surprised there was great interest in the burnt hand but no offer of veg. assistance, sounds like my house, I always identify with your ramblings, er, I mean writing. Glad I didn't need the bopping spoon.

 

Difficult modding the Welsh posts (but no need I'm sure! ), but lovely to see the language written, it's beautiful.

I remember we did it in Geography in year 8 and all I remember was the teacher turning the book sideways while looking at a picture of the river ystwyth and saying "If you look at it from this angle it looks like a duck"

Lewis - you should go here it's really nice! They have a really good biology department, loads of people I know are doing biology, animal science, or zoology. I'm doing geography there, so don't really go to the biology department, but do go to the physics one quite a lot. If you have any questions about the uni or the area let me know, even tho i've only been there since the start of term

Last weekend when I saw my niece, she was lying on the floor "chatting" - lurblellllurrrbbblllll (teething somewhat). My brother announced that it was the Welsh in her and she could already speak the language (no offence to my pals on here) - he loves to wind up his poor long suffering wife - I did warn her before they got married. As it happens her mum's family come from Wales - will have to check up and see where from - and his MIL gets it from both her husband and my brother (poor woman). Plays havoc with the family history - Evans and LLoyd!

 

Ooh and someone down our road has just added chickens to their family a couple of days ago - a girl that used to be in Erin's class at school. Better behave myself just in case. Naaaaaaah.

 

Well see you tomorrow, perhaps - and DS is still being nice - yep, lovely day today.

Just sorted out the bubble machine (and 5 litres of 'Premium Bubble Fluid' ) + lazery show type thing for a charity event we're doing at school for CIN

... I now need to find the power cable for the bubble machine, if not I know who'll be raiding physics for 100's of batteries tomorrow

Afternoon all! Hope you all had good weekends. Lewis my cousin in in the theatre/performing arts type area in Aber University.

 

I drove our car for the first time on Saturday night, we've only had it 4 and a half years I haven't driven at all for about 2 years. I'm only used to driving my mum's fiesta so our astra feels huge. I'm so proud of myself though, eventhough I was shaking by the time we got to our friends house.

I don't think I'm that brave, my sense of direction in appalling. Our friends only live 5 minutes along the dual carriageway, and I had to keep checking with hubby at every roundabout that we were going the right way.

 

I'm sure Hubby could drive along the M4 no probs though

Not much to report from me...except my neck is soo much better

...and I am rather proud of myself for finishing all 8 questions of my maths homework which was set today and in for tomorrow

I am also leaving little blue fingerprints all over the keyboard

I am using oil pastels on my art sheet and they've kind of taken over
