Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 10

Recommended Posts

5.gifFeel free to correct anything or add anything Cloots. I'm going to stop because I am dribbling just reading this!

Only one small thing to add ........... :vom: !! Always hated dumpling, could never eat anything with currants or spices in as a child. I remember my grannie making this stuff - huge it was and the aroma in the house. Yuk.

It is very popular though !!

I'm sure there's a bit of Scot in me somewhere. If I do have a bash it will be without currants - I can't bear the thought of crunching fruit. Even when they are supposed to be seedless the currants still crunch - yuk. And it will be marmalade without the bits too.

There's also haggis (apparently there are lots of secret recipes probably because they didn't want anyone to go "don't like that" )

Stand corrected - it is Dumpling (or you can make more I suppose).

Scotch Broth (yum)

Cullen Skink (not fond of smoked stuff)

Partan Pie (sounds lovely - crabby yum)

Herrings in Oatmeal (yum porridge)

Scottish Collops

You know what type of eggs

Mutton Pie

Flummery

Scottish Sausages (hog's face  I'm just fussy)

And now we have a Welsh food

Toasted Debs. You snuggle and lie low, lil peeps.

Edited to add haggis is yum, but I'm sure I've said that before.

Hi all! Well I was feeling so rotten yesterday I ended up going to the out-of-hours doctor. He very helpfully said it could be the Swine Flu virus or it could be any of the other of hundreds of virus' going around Cardiff at the moment. I thought I'd had a high temperature since Thursday, really hot, sweaty, but shivering. Typically when he took my temperature yesterday it was normal! Just told me I'd probably feel rough for a few more days and to lie on the sofa and do nothing. I laughed at that point, and told him we had 2 young children.

Do feel slightly better today, I can speak slightly louder, yesterday my voice was no more than a whisper. Managed to eat some roast dinner at my mum's too, so finger's crossed. Think Olly might be coming down with something again now though, both boys have coughing badly since last night.

Hope we're all well for Dan's birthday on Tuesday and Bonfire Night on Thursday.

I keep getting fits of sneezes mid conversation and have to stop talking

Just been to the aunt + uncle with chickens for sunday lunch :)

The 3 y.o. cousin was there and he got out Hilary the little buff rock bantam and she got to go on a bike and slide :lol: She just sat there as if it was normal!

Need to do the work now

Ah school's back. Took Ciaran for yet another interview. I so hope he gets this one - needless to say none of the others bothered to get back to him. Although it is a bit awkward to get to, there should be plenty of buses - right by the North Hampshire Hospital! He said he was so overdressed with his suit - the man who interviewed him was wearing a Beanie hat, sweatshirt, jeans and trainers. Wear what you like here said the fellow. Turns out the boss also has a rock band and plays gigs in London and around. I do hope the young whippersnapper has landed on his feet. He said that he felt he got on well with the boss and hopes this will work. It's part time, but it's a job with a permanent position further down the line. I took this grumpy boy in and brought a bright and breezy, chatty lad home! Sigh . . .

EMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Glad your sneezing fit has finished Lewis.

Poor Debs, now you see her, now you don't.

Well done JJ. I didn't even get that for English! (Probably bored the pants off the examiner).

Well I'm off to do Murray's dindins as he's had a very long day at the warehouse the other side of London - up at 5 he was (just as well I couldn't get him to stop snoring last night). I popped an article on snoring from the newspaper in his laptop the other day - he never once mentioned it. Methinks someone will be getting lots of snoring related items from Boots for Christmas.
