fujcube
Hi all, At last, after all the planning, all the preparation and a 12 hour round trip, they are here! 1st up is 'Buff', our 18 wk Buff Orpington from the Wernlas Collection Next up is Maisie, our 18 wk Light Sussex Then there is Megg, our 18 wk Cream Legbar And lastly, here's Amber, our 18 wk Rhode Island Red This is their accomodation. Still a 'work-in-progress', but you get the idea. At the top of the picture is our food store where we keep all our feed and bedding. The middle hut belongs to Oreo, our 1 yr old male Lionhead Rabbit. The nearest hut belongs to our chooks. Regards

fujcube
Ok, here's the 'Big Guy', helping himself to the bird seed! He was getting on ok with the chooks, until they all moved in, to his bedrroom!!!! I did think the trip was a bit much for one day. If I do it again, I'll probably stay over somewhere. I could probably find someone a bit closer to home to buy from but the guys at Wernlas are so helpful, their birds are well looked after, it's well worth the effort. What photos would you like? My setup is still a 'work-in-progress' so there's not really a great deal to see. We're pretty much making it up as we go along. Showing sleeping area and perch. From the front, showing the raised roof, window and air vents. Another shot, showing the window and air vents. fujcube
And finally! Our dry store. This is where we keep our feed and bedding, for the moment. We built it for our dogs but they never used it. Will probably be modified at some point to house another batch of chooks or ducks. One of 2 entrance gates to our front garden. Just wait until the chooks discover that there are nice big worms under the bark. A small landscaped area where we can sit with a galss of chilled wine and watch our chooks, and rabbit!!! Oh, to live in the country Regards
