Freckles, my lovely 18wk old speckled sussex is convinced that she's a parrot... everytime I give her a cuddle she jumps up onto my shoulder, and there she stays chirruping away down my ear happily

 

Been trying to get photos but she's a bit camera shy and flies down the minute dear PH gets the camera in sight

I was bent down putting the washing in the machine (in garage) and she flew on my back! If I bend down doing the poo pick in the run she snatches her opportunity also what is it with these parrot chickens??!

My Grackle jumped on my OH shoulder, it was really funny as he won't even pick them up. Never seen him move so quick.

My hands up was me telling them that all the grapes had gone. I posted the "before" picture a while ago which was 5 of them on my lap mugging me for grapes

I have parrot chickens too. My lavender likes to perch on my finger and so does the Columbian. I don't know why.

 

You should have seen my real parrots face when I bought the lavender in to the house. lol

Barbara's made it up to sit on my arm but she hasn't ventured onto my shoulder yet - got a feeling she will though!

 

It doesn't have to be anything to do with food either - sitting reading a book is a sure way to get her sitting on my lap pushing said book out of the way so I will stroke her!!

My Hilda love a good shoulder perch too! If I am stood remotely near the netting, she will launch at me from her side and happily chirrup away for as long as I'll let her. Yesterday she supervised me raking the lawn

 

She's a very jealous girl too and gets flustered if I pick up one of the other girls... I'm never allowed to cuddle one of the others without her joining for a perch!!

oh thats lovely! Wish all my girls were like that - my hybrid ladies don't do being picked up for cuddles - the pure breads are more snuggly, but theres only really Mollie the exbatt who'll tolerate a cuddle
