Snoxy
Hi everyone Just wanted to share the introduction success of our 2 new girls, Mildred and Stella to our older girls Cleo(patra), Fifi and Princess Leia. I am so pleased that I didn't listen to some advice not to attempt to introduce POL girls to older girls. Within 5 weeks all is well here...hooray. Stella our White Star started laying on the 15th and I think Mildred our Skyline will start laying within the next couple of weeks. Best wishes... Laura & CTB
That's great news - it's lovely to see them become one flock isn't it?
Ain't Nobody Here
That's good news . I'm happy to report that our POL girls have been successfully integrated too . It's such a relief, isn't it .
Space Chick
It is great when they are all integrated, its a worrying time for chicken mums and dads I have just finished my 3rd set of integrations and slow and steady is definitely the way to go Glad its gone well for you
sjp
mine are nearly there most of the time they look like a flock of 5 not a pair and a trio slow and steady as Space Chick says
poachedegg
Well done! We've just done our third too and can't reiterate enough that it is slow and steady that definitely made each one of them successful ........ onto the 4th lot in a month or two when the ex batts have had a chance to recover. Fur 'n' Feathers
Well done. It's encouraging to hear when we're in the midst of our first intros. Our newbies are POL and things seem to be going well. Put them in with the older girls in th cube to sleep for the first time. Keeping them separate in the day. Looking forward to getting them to your staus.

dippy bird
I am still trying as well - not rushing though as the bats have already been through so much. Just letting them all out together every now and again.Had a go yesterday and two of them fought again - the others weren't too bad which was a big bonus! Mainly Betty (top bird) and Rita trying to knock seven bells out of each other. As they say - slowly slowly catchy monkey.....

cluckingmad
Tricia, you and I are in the same boat! After Nutmeg was hurt the intros have jumped a few steps back as the hybrid girls are quite aggressive towards her still - however, they still free range together without incident, so hoping it won't take tooo much longer before they can be one big happy chooky family Then there's the three new girls to do... Mollie seems interested in them currently, none of the others really seem to notice them
