Chunky_Monkey
Looks really good! Reminds me to add some things to our run, though I'm not sure if the girls would notice. Your girls look lovely too.
jimnpaula
Thanks for your comments everyone - I have passed them onto the builder. It's just a bit of gash pallet wood but at least it gives a sunning/feeding platform and a bit more flat surface per bird. P
Chicken Shirl
That looks great. They are doing well the chooks, you must be very pleased with them It breaks your heart to see them when they first arrive I should imagine.
Plum
Excellent. Is it just slotted between the bars or do you have a clever way of fastening it.

jimnpaula
Excellent. Is it just slotted between the bars or do you have a clever way of fastening it. It does just slot through and has nuts & bolts through on the outside to stop the ends falling through. They are doing well the chooks, you must be very pleased with them It was quite an eye opener looking at the first photos I took of them. They look so much better now they're growing more feathers, and they are so much more mobile and confident. I so love them. My girls' mummy AND dady will be soending this week-end building a mezzanine in the WIR, together with perches and other entertainment for the little loves to keep them occupied during thelong dark winter months with limited free ranging! Gelbel
I do like the mezzanine funky Oooooh an idea. I think I have room for one of those. My girls managed to snap their shower rail perch yesterday. All 3 regularly sit on it when it's drizzle - guess they have grown a bit. I was going to make use of this wonderful weather and have a good old spring clean and change of bark chipping etc - so the DH can knock up something for them (so glad he was a chippy when I met him ).
