cordelia
Hope you dont mind a post without photo's but I've just got a new house and run (not WIR yet) and some new girls (sorry no photos as it poured with rain and they only arrived yesterday) I had hoped for a blue egg layer but someone got the last one the day before, but now have two white Coral Nicks, a Rhode Rock and a Pied Suffolk, all hybrids I think, but lovely looking... Two seem to be named after characters from the Worst Witch, and one was going to be Isabelle, until my two year old misheard and named her Tinkerbell !!! but they all seem happy and well.. Unfortunately lovely Daphne my RIR is moulting (her first moult) and looks awful, I'll give her some tuna to help with her feathers tomorrow..poor lamb... So nice to tell people about the girls, as I dont work with nice people any more so one there is interested,, and family members will moan that I have more chickens apart from my immediates at home...who are pretty thrilled, even DH is ok-ish about it LOL !!!! and has been out swapping my second set of feeders and drinkers for me.... (I'll post some photographs as soon as possible.. Isnt the rain terrible !! my garden is a quagmire, and the kitchen floor!!! with the dog coming in and out...is now brown... Plum
Congratulations, I love to hear about how they are getting on so carry on posting. It is miserable when people aren't interested and you are so excited. My chicken people at work aren't as keen on talking chicken now as I am very frustrated when every little thing they do is something to be shared, its having new ones and they are settled with theirs. Luckily OH is happy to listen to my rambles Tinkerbell is a pretty name and my garden has more feathers than leaves at the moment

cordelia
ooo thank your for the sweet replies, I still havent been able to take any photographs, because I leave the house at 6am for my hours drive to work when its still dark, and I'm not getting home in the light again , not once this week, so I may have to wait until the weekend... (I wish the clocks hadnt changed, I feel like a vampire this week, only being out in the dark) but I will post ... I'm now seeing all the girls by torchlight, but I've managed to get their treats to them, ready for the morning and athey all seem happy and well fed
