Cinnamon
Just back from seeing it. Thought it was OK - I mostly just wanted to knock all their silly teenage heads together most of the time Very true to the book - thought Jane was fab! I really can't see the appeal of Edward at all & think he is pretty unattractive................ but Jake - WOOF! ('scuse the pun!) Mostly I like Emmet though - now there is a hunk of a man

Hen Watch
I loved Twilight film, so did my girls. Read all 4 books and loved 1, 3 & 4. Enjoyed book 2 but personally found it a bit slower and had less content. I wondered how they would do it as a film. Seems to me they pretty much stuck to the book. I was surprised as I thought they would amalgamate books 2 & 3 for the film, but they didn't. Saw 'New Moon' last Saturday. It is a good film, but I still feel the original Twilight is much better. Jacob is good in the film. Hardly any Edward (but then that's the same in the book). My kids enjoyed it.
Cooks
went to see it early today with Em after our Christmas shopping trip, it was brilliant and I want to see it again for my birthday... All the young girls in the cinema went "ooooooooooooooooooooooh!" when Jacob took his top off... kids eh?? (I would never have done such a thing)

The Dogmother
I managed to miss *phew!* taking Rosie to see it at the weekend as she went with a friend. I had warned her that it didn't get good reviews, but she really liked it.

Seagazer
Can't wait to see it. I initiated my sister onto Twilight at the weekend, she's in Edward's camp as well. My son and his girlfriend saw it last week and they both really enjoyed it.
Falkor
I think Em and me should go every orange wednesday until it stops showing.. Calm yourself Cookie!! We sound like those girls who sat behind us giggly at every sentance that came out of Jacons mouth! I have to use this weeks Orange Wed ticket on the OH as it is his birthday or something (I figured he would want to forget he was turning 40 but NO!) but next week if you are going to MAKE me go again i spose I will as I am a nice friend. But you are really forcing me into it you know!

Paola
It only came out today in Singapore So for the first time ever I went to the cinema on my own! I was disappointed with it However Jacob half naked made up for it I am taking DD1 to see it at the weekend so maybe second time round it might grow on me
Busybird
We don't go to the cinema due to cost but DD was invited to see this with a friend last Sunday so we allowed her to go as a treat. She has read all the books but hasn't seen Twilight. She was disappointed that they messed with the ending (not true to the book apparently) and preferred Jacob to Edward as she read somewhere that Edward had plastic pecs for the film! (?). She thought him too much of a 'pretty boy'. She wasn't too impressed with Jacob either but had to choose as the girls in her class are 'all' camp Edward or camp Jacob... She enjoyed the film but I think it was the cinema experience and being able to talk about it with the other girls in school that pleased her more than the content. She enjoyed the books more. Falkor
Yep, there are lots of bits slightly altered or missing from the books. I have read all four books and I know how it all ends unlike a fair few people that were at the cinema last week with Cooks and I and they all either gasped or shouted "what did she say!!!!???" when the last line of the New Moon film was delivered! I am not sure that I like the films because I am able to fill in the back story for myself having read the books. I am currently re-reading New Moon (yes...I am sad) and am loving it again. The history of Carlise is lovely and really helps to explain more about the way he chose to live. I also think the film misses out the deep family bond of the Cullens. If they had made the films word for word to match the books I think we would all be sitting in the cinemas for about five hours per film! Not that five hours of Robert Pattinson is a bad thing IMO but I would have to take butt padding! I am not sure that i would like the New Moon film so much if I hadn`t of read the books......but then again who wouldn`t find pleasure in looking at Robert Pattinson!
