Valkyrie
Morning peeps. Just sat down to have my bowlful of brekkers earlier and spotted movement in the garden from the corner of my eye. I thought it was Sausage hinting that here I was indoors stuffing and he hadn't had his raisins yet so get a move on woman! Nope not Sausage - a fox. A young handsome (not our mangy midnight one) lean glossy fox. I didn't stop to look to see if I could spot the gender - not sure whether that's possible anyway. But yelled FOX and ran down the garden to the girls. Most of them were up by the back door - just Sioux NOT WALKING ON THAT STUFF by the cube run. Tips and Patch followed me down and went in the run - Squirt dallied but popped in and I locked them in. Murray went out the front door and the fox trotted off and out of the cul-de-sac. Strangely it was the same as the deer last year. Both trotted down to next doors garden and double backed at the dead-end when humans came out. First time we've had a fox here, so need to be quite vigilant now. Muz thinks that it probably wandered around and was heading back to the woods as people were about, and got a bit lost. Hopefully it will stay over the other side of the woods in future. But you never know. Rats bloomers and poo - had hoped it would never happen! Chickvic
Morning all just That sounds a bit scary Koojie - glad your gilrs are ok! Went out on our Christmas do last night, crawled in at 1.15am hence only got up at 10.50am Not a bad night and I wasn't drunk, I only had 2 pints of cider, 3 glasses of water and a cup of tea
Valkyrie
They were fine - I spotted the fox before he got anywhere near the back garden. Too close for comfort though. I have let them out now and they aren't venturing far - "don't like that" (Little Britain style) for the snow and ice. Cider
Scramble
Morning all Glad your chickens are alright, Koojie. Speaking of chickens, what's this you've been talking about Quigley's with Tom? Chickvic
Hello Teabag Well British Gas finally answered the phone coming out on Monday for a fixed fee of £164 no matter what it will actually cost. I feel much better knowing exactly what it's going to cost!
Lewis
Lets hope it costs more and £164 for them then so you get the good deal! The farm is good Still don't feel christmassy but seeing 500+ turkeys does help It will feel like it when we have to hand them out to people (probably in the snow) wearing a turkey hat and being wished Merry Christmas all day Panto is over I was really tired today for some reason and missed a cue ... but jumped into the one after at the right time and no-one noticed

Valkyrie
Probably building up a callous or something - now you definitely need the Udderly Smooth stuff - it'll sort that out lickety split (because that same sort of sore spot built up on my quilting finger - the cream soon sorted it out - brilliant invention).
