Cooks
Welllllll on the way to bed last night I trip over my own feet and my foot 'clicked' which was painful at the time and then I got into bed and went to sleep. Woke up this morning to a throbbing foot which is constant all day, I can walk but hobbley, and I was hoping it would have gone by now. My bones always click so I thought nothing of the 'click' last night except "ouch!" It is right on the top of my foot by the way, so I kind of tripped up and got that foot caught and it clicked. You reckon it'll go in a day or so? I have too big a feet for my brain and am always tripping up them. Egluntyne
Is it swollen or bruised?
Cooks
a little swllen, nothing to write home about and bruising starting to appear but again nothing that would scare me but harder to see as it is right under my tattoo. docsquid
If you have swelling and bruising, it is worth getting an x-ray - it is easy to fracture a metatarsal in this way.

Looney
Ouch! If in doubt get it checked out, I would hate you to make things worse without meaning to. Fingers crossed all is fine - though perhaps you might have to put your feet up and get everyone to run around after you for a while..... Blackrocksrock
Sounds like a break to me - I would go and get checked out as you should not be in so much pain with it. Hope its ok
Terracata
The crack could either be nothing (Most cracks, knuckles etc. Tend to be air pockets in Synovial fluid being popped) Or could be a fracture in a Tarsal or Metatarsal. The swelling and bruising indicates a fracture, however a serious sprain of one of the many tendons and ligaments in that area could produce the same effect. In any case, Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation are good ideas. An ice pack or just some peas from the freezer will do. Out of interest, when you tripped did your ankle rollover towards the outside?
