resolutions starting early

Recommended Posts

some of you may remember thatI have been supporting a friend through AA, she is doing OK, a few wobbles but is so much better. I have found that being on this journey with her has made me look at my own drinking habits  not quite an alcoholic I may add  so I have decided to have a dry christmas & new year, if my friend can do it so can I. Should be very interesting!

I've had my hair cut, few raised eyebrows fro OH who is used to me having longer red curly hair, how on earth do you make straighteners behave :lol:

I have decided to generally look after myself a lot better, the array of skin care products is baffleing, do any of you know if any of them are worth spending extra money on. Imedeen serums and all sortsw of potions & gadgets, makes my very simple moisturiser & face wipes look very basic. Any opinions?

Yes, just stick with a cheap moisturiser..........that's all you need! :D

Well done on helping your friend and looking at your own lifestyle - I've been addressing mine as well and will continue to lose weight in the New Year :D

After a sad year for us, some family members have realised that life is too short and I'm prepared to go half way to help repair the damage they inflicted on Carl and I for daring to meet and be happy!

Finance. That's my New Years Resolution, to get some bloomin' money in somehow and be better at budgeting. Got nothing to pay off after Christmas, it was cash or nothing this year :D and to TRY and spend LESS time on the bloomin computer!!!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year - I'm in the zone!!! :D:D:D

well done on looking after your friend Tiggy :D that must have been hard at times :(

I think looking at your own habits in light of other people is a really sensible idea, I know people who have had health scares, then not changed anything, then had more scares and dont understand what has happened, they look at you blankly when you point out the obvious

I joined slimming world again to help give me a weightloss boost, ive lost 5lbs in 3 weeks :D im also reducing the amount im drinking cos its giving me headaches (when im drinking, not the after effects  )

:clap: for all starting resolutions, here's to sticking to them

Well done Tiggy for helping your friend, not easy at times I imagine. Well done too for examining your own lifestyle and attempting change before it actually comes to anything.

I use Boots Expert moisturiser, less than a fiver and one pump bottle lasts me over a year! The Expert range is very good and not frilly at all (no perfumes or colours), I understand that the Expert scar serum is the same formulation as the much more expensive Protect and Perfect serum too  Any other bodycare I use is whatever I get as presents, or quality branded stuff I pick up in the pound shops. I haven't bought shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and cleanser for absolutely ages, and no longer buy cotton wool since cutting up some old face cloths :D .

My resolution is to spend mindfully, money orientated as per usual but my household income is low. I would really like a multi fuel burner next year and need my four chimneys sorted out so that's something to aim for. I resolve not to buy sweets or cakes for as long as possible, if I want them I'll have to make them! I also resolve to be as polite and helpful to others as possible. I need to eat more fruit too :D
